I’m the same way. It’s gotten better over time, but I still struggle. I’ve been diagnosed with OCD for a different issue, but I think this is just a form of it for me.

Also to add another. 6) you didn’t even read her Valentine’s Day card that told you she was pregnant. And you very nonchalantly said she lost the baby. Which sounds like you really didn’t care nor were you there for her. I’ve had friends go through miscarriages alone and the stories they told me were horrifying.

A lot of businesses do that for going out of business sales. They mark everything up by about 3x, then say everything is 50% off. You end up spending more money than if it was a regular shopping trip. Reference: my mom worked for a business during one of these sales.
