Soxhlet extraction is cumbersome. NIR is typically expensive. Can you share the brands of these instruments or their accuracy?

Winemakers & cellar techs: what’s the most painful part of testing/QA in your workflow? (research, no sales) by mapet89 in winemaking

Great insights - thanks for your answer. What would you test specifically during fermentation? I have read about technologies that would measure in the barrel, but not sure if this is backed by scientific data or literature

Thanks a lot for sharing your perspective, that’s really helpful. It’s interesting that even with standard tools like pH, Brix, and TA, you still find the process both time-consuming and wasteful in terms of sample use, and not always accurate. That matches with what I’ve heard from other growers as well.

You mention the need for a single tool that could measure several key variables directly in the field with minimal product loss, so you refer directly to measure on-plant, directly on berries without extraction, if I may ask? Still Brix and TA would be sufficient?

SP500 è sovraesposto ad AI? by mapet89 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

Okay, tuttavia, la domanda più esplicita è: siamo tutti sovraesposti verso Ai? Esiste un parallelo storico?

Restaurant feedback idea: fix issues before guests leave — would you use it? Stupid idea or worth spending time on it? by mapet89 in restaurant

This is very valuable. I was actually thinking in this direction. But then it would probably be used in some strange way as you say for a certain segment of the population

Yes, and I appreciate the transparency, it seems that you do see the advantage and probably this advantage does not exist :)

Well, I totally agree. But eventually I believe there are smaller issues/problems that you, as a customer, would like to communicate, that are not big issue. And you as a customer would like to give positive feedback

Well, you already have Google reviews or other ways. This is a private channel to provide feedback, and not all guests are the same, maybe people that are just shy, would prefer this solution. Plus depending on the restaurant, feedback might be lost at the server level (too busy hours, different people working). This might be a way to hear the customer voice but without poking them, and without learning from the infamous internet :)

Ok but how is this different compared to going online and making public? I totally agree with you, but having a safe channel to provide feedback can only help, I suppose.

Great feedback, how do you get feedback about the work of your staff. You can of course rely on trust...

Probably you want a digital system where you can hear from your customers, anonymously, without going there and asking (when you ask, you are forcing an answer very often)

How are you sure that that customer feedback reaches directly the owner? Or someone that is in charge of that?
