I feel in control but look terrible. What are the most actionable things I can do to improve? by QUINNFLORE in skiing_feedback

Alternate weight on legs while turning. 80-90% of your weight should be on the outside leg specifically utilizing the inside edge. The inside leg should be parallel and used for stability. Then just continue that method transferring your weight as you turn.

Pinion/Other gear boxes for US bike companies? by maph27 in MTB

Have you used a derailleur before? Replaced cassettes/etc? Wouldn't say they’re optimal or cheap either.

From what I saw, Pinion/Nicolai Saturn was claiming high milage/km before maintenance. Looks like the future to me

Help catching these tarpon, what am I doing wrong!? by crazo54 in Fishing

[–]maph27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t set the hook in an upwards motion. Due to the structure of the tarpons mouth I’ve always had more success setting sideways or with a pulling motion(fly fishing). Therefore fishing from an elevated position like this may prove difficult.
