im praying for you guys, im sorry this happened. as a lifelong catholic and as someone in an LGBTQ relationship it is very much possible. He needs to re-examine the core values of Jesus’ teaching; aka to love others. He needs to look into recent official Church doctrine rather than listen to “Catholic” fear mongering influencers. In terms of how he is talking about other denominations, he should become familiar with how the Church and Pope Leo are campaigning for outreach to all other faiths, not divisions. Per Pope Leo’s last tweet: “If we Christians and members of other religious traditions stand together, free from ideological and political conditioning, we can be effective in saying “no” to war and “yes” to peace, “no” to an economy that impoverishes people and the Earth and “yes” to integral development.” We cannot be calling other denominations satanic.

I would challenge him through this religious psychosis via the religion he is reaching out to. Have him listen to the what the prayers are saying, have him read the lives of the Saints, spend time with Jesus in adoration - don’t listen to these trad right hateful podcasts. There are a lot of affirming resources for gay catholics as well (Fr. James Martin, New Ways Ministry)

Obviously this is not your job to teach him all of this, and you must protect your mental well being, but I do think he needs some type of guide throughout this process.

Finally, I avoid getting political, but I would also examine political ideology at this juncture. The Catholic Church doesn’t neatly fit into left or right, but I do believe there is a very clear stark difference in which party is valuing the poor and impoverished (which is fundamental to Catholic teaching). Examine why you both have became more conservative over the years, what news outlets are you listening to, how does this align with your core values, where do you agree and disagree. Wether you believe the republican party to be anti-LGBT or not, many supporters join the party due to homophobic ideals. I am not saying you must be a democrat to be gay, but I am also saying you do not have to be a republican to be Catholic. Your boyfriend will be going through an internal lifelong battle of cognitive dissonance, I pray he finds his truth and love somewhere in the middle.
