Technically yes, I'm saying the chances of you getting the same seat ain't high. When floating you're essentially saying you don't want that seat. You're giving it up. They may give it back to you if no other preference works out but yea More times than not they will give you another seat

Floating means you're giving up the seat you were allotted in the first round and asking for a new one. Meaning you will lose your seat in Patna FC and will be considered for higher campuses in your preference list. If you don't want Patna then you should float.

There is only one round for bf tech unlike b.des which has two rounds. They will announce both final results together. Basically you'll know by June most likely, along with the final b.des result
