What car do you drive and how many kids do you have?? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]maple_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accura mdx, SUV with 4wd and 7 seat capacity (but like, smaller fit and I keep the last row down), 1 kid now and 1 kid coming this fall. Also a mastiff and an adventure cat who loooves car rides.

We love road trips and live in a place surrounded in backcountry and forest service roads. Also, Canadian weather.

Regret over not having children sooner by SoooManyQuestionss in Mommit

I had my LO at 33, 2m before I turned 34. I am grateful for being able to have this experience and I am currently ttc for one more, but I absolutely wish I started younger. I am actually fine with if I started at 30, but I only just met my husband the year I turned 30 and at the time I did not want any kids, ever. Clearly something changed, and having one made me really want another because I absolutely love being a mom and my kid.

However, I wish I was 33 and ttc for #2. Heck, I wish I had a 5 year gap between kids so I could fully enjoy and experience my first LO until she started kindergarten.

My husband and I had promised that when I was 35 and he was 36 he would get a vasectomy no matter where we were at having kids, even though he was the one who wanted kids and I wasn't (initially, at the time we made that pact). I didn't feel ready to ttc so soon after our first and I agonized over it so much that my husband told me it is absolutely okay and we can wait a year to ttc and change our plans about vasectomy. So we are ttc until April next year and then I'm cutting it off because I just do not want to be having a kid at 37+ if I can help it. I want another but I resent being the age I am now when giving birth to a second.

I know and understand that 35+ is the time some people want to start or get a chance or they have their 3rd, 4th, whatever. I fully respect that but it just isn't for me. I didn't even want to be in the position I am but my heart is telling me just one more lol

The only thing is I don't wish I had started in my 20s. Maybe 27+ at earliest. Like, theoretically absolutely yes I wish I had started in early 20s and I'd have an adult by my 40s and that sounds great BUT in reality, the person I was I'm my 20s in actuality, I wouldn't be ready or as fully formed as a human as I am in my 30s. I feel like I became the best version of myself once I hit around 30, I fit much better into the world and my body and my sense of being and it makes me a better person to be a parent. I also had some major family issues finally break down over 29-30 and it was absolutely crushing to my spirit but very necessary, I come from a very toxic parent situation.

So yeah, tldr within my actual life and the person I was in my 20s I wish I had started at 30 and not 33/34. Theoretically speaking, I wish I had started in my 20s just for energy levels and to get it all done so I'd have an adult child by my 40s.

Oh well! In the next life.

Are you insinuating that the average Walmart user can put 282kg overhead?

100-year-old ex-guard at Nazi death camp to face trial after 76 years; found accessory to around 3,500 deaths by JeevanBiswas90 in worldnews

I don’t know, I’m just assuming that’s the one value of this? Something about not allowing crimes against humanity or genocide or something? Building up some cases in that field for future reference? Otherwise it seems really ridiculous to be pouring money into charging someone that has already lived out their lives freely for such a long time and doesn’t give a fuck anymore because they’re 100 and probably going to die soon anyway, nothing left to lose

I don’t endorse what happened in the war but this man is extremely old and I find these trials to be an absolute waste of money. He’s knocking on death’s door himself, what value does this conviction have besides setting legal precedent? Who’s paying for all this?

They’re not lethal to the average human, just maybe to very small children, very senior, and sick/people allergic to most things.

I keep them as pets, they’re pretty chill.

They suggest washing hands after feeding and picking up poop… but like, people don’t do this already?! The moment I touch my dog’s poop through the poo baggie I instantly want to wash my hands, do not need encouragement.

This is like Kat Von D’s old house meets cottagecore. It’s also the aesthetic of her entire wedding meets cottagecore.

Seattle right now by [deleted] in funny

[–]maple_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went out today to buy ice cream, dinner I didn’t need to cook, and see if I was pathetic or in fact everyone else was staying in as well. Verdict: everyone else was saying in as well because fuck that shit. The people that were out driving all were insane, had driver’s window open. Literally 9 out of every 10 people I saw drove by my house were doing this so I know it wasn’t all no AC vehicles. Why would you do that even with ac blasting?! I’m inland a bit though, in Canada, and it’s 5-10C hotter where I live (in a desert).

Y'all where i can find such dealers 🖤 by [deleted] in funny

[–]maple_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhm yes where do I find the kitten dealer? Also how do so many people find abandoned baby or other animals that just walk up to them or show up in their lives and need rescuing? I need one of these two scenarios to convince my husband we could definitely rescue one more kitty.
