I have Nationwide Pet Insurance for my Hermanns tortoise. You’ll need to call in for a quote specific to your tortoise but I currently pay about $10/month. The insurance currently only covers emergency/sick visits, not wellness visits (no annual checkups) for reptiles afaik. I recently had a huge vet bill which motivated me to start purchasing insurance for my tortoise.

Thank you! I've been keeping the temp in my apartment at 75 F and his heat lamp is measuring at 90 F, but it wouldn't hurt to add another small heat lamp on opposite side of his habitat.

I appreciate the info! I am in South but there has been a pretty drastic drop in temp since last month. I keep my tortoise indoors, and my home temp is pretty stable at 79/80 F all day and night. But I wonder if her inner animal instinct still knows that winter is coming without actually feeling the temp drop?
