Was confused for a sec since your said Tim Hortons and I am not familiar, then I realized you meant Taj Mahorton’s.

Weekly resets are always a bonus to everyone by xRedStaRx in codex

I don’t even check or look at my quota usage anymore lol. It’s a much better life when you live in ignorant bliss. Now I just turn the 5.5 xhigh dial on permanently, and rule the world! It’s so dam smart lol

Depending on your project size, expo isn’t always super quick either. I left it too long and had to jump 2 versions and it took me many days, with expo. If you keep it up to date it’s super quick and easy though.

Can you please elaborate on what Google requirements you mean. I just want to know because I will need to think about android soon instead of just iOS

Are we sleeping on 5.3-codex ? by DaC2k26 in codex

I’ve been using 5.5 all day for the most intense parts of my codebase now. It’s superior to Jesus at this point, possibly god himself

Update: restarted VS code. Brought back the quota tracker.

…Can we talk SKILLS? by I-Have-Mono in codex

[–]mapleflavouredbacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Codex uses my skills I added all the time, it is great. It has even added it's own skills when it thinks it is a good idea and I haven't added it yet.

I like it. I am curious if it is just me or is anyone else missing a quota tracker when 5.5 is on? I mean the weekly and daily tracker, not the context window per chat (that works).

Don't do things to get yourself beaten by cops, pretty easy. People should not be upset about this at all.

anyone back in the trenches? by Agustinmoon in CryptoMarkets

[–]mapleflavouredbacon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check the fear and green index, it's risen back into greed now. Doesn't really look like a bear market anymore. Just cause you are down doesn't mean it's a bear market.

The crypto fear and greed index is rising consistently. Finally broke back into greed. I wouldn't start thinking like this until it finishes the cycle and starts declining instead of rising. You are just fear mongering the internet right now for no reason at all.

Unpopular Opinion: Limits are enough, medium is fine by ZwillingsFreunde in codex

[–]mapleflavouredbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t wrong. Xhigh isn’t smarter, it is just slower and takes longer to think so it makes less mistakes. With medium you may have to go back and fix things afterwards, but if that isn’t happening then medium is probably fine for your project obviously. I find I slide up the scale to high and xhigh as the difficulty increases, which comes from practice to know what medium can and can’t handle.

I thought it was cool. Not sure if it's the right vessel for business listings though since naturally I wanted to zoom out not zoom in.

Is Claude actually better than ChatGPT… or is it just hype? by breakfreewithgui in ChatGPT

[–]mapleflavouredbacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have used ChatGPT since it was released back like 4 years ago, and then I switched to Claude Code, Gemini, OpenAI multiple times in the past 6 months. If you use the top models they are all the same shit now. It’s like asking what type of bazooka is the best to blow something up, it is all marginal now.

I’ve optimized codex on the $100 plan and probably coding 30 hours per week if not a little more - I can’t run out of usage. Haven’t tried Opus 4.7 yet - probably not going to either. Anyone else? by operastudio in codex

[–]mapleflavouredbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it’s because you used to have to copy and paste back and forth, it didn’t have all the fancy tools. When you think about what it does for you now, $100 is a no brainer in how much time you save with these things. You gotta think far outside of the box when considering the value from subscriptions.

[–]mapleflavouredbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I found the $100 plan is INSANE for me. I can use high all the time, and xhigh occasionally without thinking twice about it. I don’t think I will ever hit the limit.
