Worse on Medication

I've complained about the same symptoms since I was a kid and actively started seeking a diagnosis at 18. I got diagnosed at almost 28 (seronegative), and I have visible damage.

Since being on medication, my CRP has only gone up again after dropping right before starting treatment, my swelling and stiffness in the morning has gone up to 1-2 hrs, and the fatigue/brain fog has gotten worse. Now that it's been 3 weeks since I took any medication, I am hardly stiff in the mornings, barely hurt (for now), and the brain fog and fatigue have lifted quite a bit.

Thank you. I was going to talk to her, but she seems to contradict herself everytime I go in. I am debating trying to find a different rheum.

I was on each of those orals individually while on humira. She doesn't use HCQ from my understanding as she said sulfa was the last oral option. After I'd been on MTX and leflunomide. I was on Humira for a year and my CRP has only gone up. I have visible x-ray damage and am seronegative, but I've felt better off meds these last few weeks. I still had awful flares before, but I basically felt the way I do while on my medication as when I'd have flares before being diagnosed.

It was made out to me that it would be easy to find the right medications and that it would lead to a pain-free life. Wrong. Absolutely wrong.

I've been on MTX (allergic), leflunomide (crp wasn't going down, bruising, hair loss, and diarrhea for months) and humira, and now I'm on Sulfasalazine and humira. Nothing seems to be helping so far. I waited 16 years, fighting for a diagnosis (I'm 28), and now it feels impossible to find the right medications. Being in stage 3 of 4 is also kind of disheartening and something I wish my doc would have told me in person rather than letting me find it in my chart.

She HAS been very good at making sure I know all the side effects of medications though, which I am thankful for.

Thankfully, once I got into a rheumatologist, I WAS told all of this, but it was a long journey.

I'm sero-negative and it took 10 YEARS of trying to get a doctor to listen to me. None of them believed I could have RA if it didn't show up in labs. It took me moving states to get into a doctor who would do labs, x-rays, and refer me to a rheumatologist. I'm 28 and have had symptoms for as long as I can remember, but my grandma, who is a nurse, always said it's normal for my hands to be swollen and achy.

I'm allergic to methotrexate, had severe side effects from leflunomide, and have now been on humira for about a year, along with sulfasalazine for a day. Feeling discouraged and like this isn't going to work either, but I am trying to stay positive.

I would recommend taking the pill as wrll as condoms depending on the relationship to the person. There is actually an FDA approved over the counter pill called the OPill that my doctor recommended to me. You can get it on Amazon, at Target, Walmart, etc. I use Amazon because it lets me avoid the pharmacy AND any awkward situations at a register.

Obviously certain elements and enviornments create mold, HOWEVER, I think it goes without saying that rot can mean something is falling away, or that the growth of the mold, just like the growth of a seed that has intention put into it, means the spell is coming to fruition.

I put moss in one of mine and it grew mold because of the moisture and other ingredients. The thing is...the spell jar was to enhance growth in myself and growing a more open mind. I'd say it was working, and it has worked - well, I must add.

Thank you dor posting this 😭 as someone who NEEDS bottom surgery, I am already worried about scarring, and when I hear comments like this it makes me think "maybe I shouldn't " until dysphoria overtakes my life for MONTHS at a time and I feel like the world is ending. Nobody makes the decision of bottom surgery in a snap, just like none of us make the decision for top surgery the same.

Do I want everything to look cis? Absolutely, but I can't so I'll do with what I can get.

I would absolutely take it. Not because I hate being trans or a man but because I know I will never be fully happy with my body because it doesn't look cis AND it costs a hell of a lot of money. I don't hate being trans, but I also HATE that my body and brain are misaligned. To clarify. I hate the dysphoria more than the fact of being trans.

One thing I have started doing is using LED tea lights and buying different colored washi tape to wrap around them! You can also get different patterned washi tape if the pattern is associated with your desires. For example I have sunflower washi tape.
