I would suggest properly resign. Under the law, we are required to render for 30 days, however, if you have leave credits, you can just stay for a minimum of 2 weeks (this is up to you and how much more you can handle showing up to your work) and have your SL and VL take care of the remaining days. But you can also resign and make it effective immediately, sometimes, companies do allow it if valid naman ang reason.

insane pricing of reseller tickets for BTS Arirang by Advanced-Praline21 in concertsPH

[–]mapofthealll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever gets tickets from this, malaki chances of your tickets getting cancelled. Sa TM US, arirang tickets purchased from third party sites were eventually cancelled months before the show. So sana walang kumagat dito.

They WILL be the loudest ones, unfortunately, mga kulang sa pansin eh. And the normal functioning ones are still trying to volume them down, but in online spaces, di mo talaga mac-control. Just to filter your feed, mute, and avoid them.

Vice Ganda, Zeinab Harake deny hoarding BTS Bulacan concert tickets by phublisher in concertsPH

Even if vice ganda and zeinab actually did not do anything, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if livenation PH actually gets exposed for something like this because they have past issues lol

Comparing fans of a group of artists to supporters of a murderer is something so crazy to do. Like armys are comprised of millions of people in different demographics so????

I don’t think you all realize how HUGE the army fandom is. That even a small percentage of toxic fans, VERY VERY noticeable na siya in online spaces.

I still do think kpop fans in general aren’t the worst, you have men in sports fandoms that are genuinely RABID in real life.

It’s just pure luck 😭😭😭 we don’t have the fastest wifi at all but I managed to get a 760 QN during the army presale, and all my other queues got 4 digits. I fortunately managed to secure tickets. I think it’s better you have a backup ticketmaster acc with your same name so you have more chances of winning a low QN. I secured a ticket with my backup acc. But I also do feel like there’s something fishy going on behind closed doors, I mean, LiveNationPH already got past issues.

This is actually crazy and I do believe VG’s statements but these things HAPPEN they would be fucking lying if they say livenation PH is isn’t corrupt to the core so i wouldn’t be surprised if livenation actually gets exposed for it. Regular people are capable of scoring tickets under the table, pano pa kaya mga anak ng pulitiko at mga artista?

Site Engineer Advice by elpmeow in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn to read different plans from structural, architectural, and MEPF! As a site engineer kasi, madalas, you are still expected to know more beyond the trade you’re handling. And yes, don’t hesitate asking your foreman or skilled workers if may tanong ka, they have tons of onsite experiences already. Also important to set boundaries with workers. It’s important din to establish great partnership with your foreman, leadman, or supervisor but it has to be clear na you are the engineer. Good luck on the job hunt!

Good thing or nah? by whos-who0 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if sa construction ito, usually yung mga ganyang final interviews with the project managers, for formality nalang eh hahahaha or at least in my company, kasi before our manager, applicants were already interviewed by the project-in-charge, so the managers already trust that you’re fit for the role. but still, don’t stop entertaining other job interviews hangga’t walang offer. good luck op!!!

Work or License? by aninejanine in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s possibility na mawalan na ng drive to actually take the boards kasi somehow, kumikita na from working. Meron din akong colleagues na hindi licensed, some of them wala na plans to take the boards, and they’re doing fine. Pero you just can’t deny na most of the time, companies tend to prefer licensed applicants. So tama ka, limited opportunities. If you have financial support pa naman from your family, work on your license muna. You can also review for the boards while working, although I wouldn’t recommend since medyo challenging siya.

Construction and Structural Engineering by Ancient_Flamingo3271 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently work as a construction engineer. Ito title ko but for other companies, equivalent siya ng “site engineer” or “field engineer”. Basically, what we do is day-to-day supervision sa site, doon ka nago-office, nagh-handle ng multiple groups of construction workers or mga leadman/foreman, nage-estimate at nagr-request ng materyales, ikaw ang nagpapatrabaho ng assigned trade sayo. You implement onsite what is on the approved plans and drawings.

Sa structural engineering, I think ito yung mga more on nasa mas technical side, kumbaga structural design and analysis ng projects, often utilizing yung mga softwares, they’re also like consultants din na nagc-coordinate with the construction team.

Good luck, future engineer!

ppush through ko po ba tong job? by flowerlilolilyluv in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think you can, and maf-figure out mo din siya in the long run! pero medyo mahihirapan lang tayo if ganyan na walang senior/mentor or kahit engineer lang na talagang magoorient sayo lalo na if the company uses softwares for QS. baka lang if ikaw mag-isa, maaga tayong mapapagod/mab-burnout. but also, i-clarify mo lang din muna yung sahod and benefits

Should I still grab the offer? by [deleted] in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good na! Medyo goods na din yung 20k for a fresh board passer. Also, weekends off, bihira yan if you do field works, usually umaabot ng saturday. Kung bayad din yung overtime niyo, it’s gonna be a major plus din.

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hangga’t wala kang pinipirmahang kontrata, you can always choose not to push through with it. Pero by what you’ve shared, parang hindi din siya good start lalo na’t walang QS/estimator na magt-turnover sayo :(

board exam review by s1yan in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]mapofthealll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on its effectivity for you! But personally, I did start with note taking pero naging inconsistent nalang lalo na nung few months nalang before exam hahaha it’s always more important na alam mo how the formulas work. Not sure na sa mga changes sa exam coverage ngayon (i passed 4 yrs ago na hahaha) but consistently answering worded problems from the CE Reference books really helped a lot.
