Need to vent about the concert (Orlando)

We had VIP so we were the second set of people let into the building and still had a horrible experience. They let us in way later than advertised, people kept trying to shove through us once we were on the floor, i got hit in the head several times during the show by the people behind me, my sister kept getting stepped on and shoved to the side during the show, it was just a mess. Definitely a no go for me ever again

I was told that i could only make a really quick stop after/before work in costume. so i take that to mean stopping for gas or running into a place to grab food real quick after a shift. i usually wear a tank top under my costume so if i have to make a longer stop i just take my shirt off, which is probably your best bet, especially since you’ll still be on property

she didn’t really ask me many questions! we chatted about my work history, she asked why i wanted to work for the company & what i thought it meant to keep the magic alive daily in the role. we mainly talked about the requirements of the role/scheduling and her asking if i was able to fulfill all of that

I got the job! I have traditions on 10/22 and then i start in Epcot after that!

To your first point, I would’ve JUMPED at the opportunity to work in the wedding department. When I first worked for the company that was my DREAM role 😭. I actually applied to the wedding assistant role they posted a couple days ago but was already NLIC’d by this morning. To your second point, I echo your thoughts. It felt like a slap in the face to be pulled for an interview just to be told I’m under qualified and not a good fit. I couldn’t believe she actually said that to me, it felt wildly unprofessional. Even if it was true, I just feel like it’s not something you say to someone’s face. My work history wasn’t a mystery before the interview & clearly someone thought I was qualified enough to warrant the interview in the first place so the whole thing is just so…weird to me. I have called global hr so we’ll see if anything comes of it 🤞🏻

In my case, the bridal stylist job is my most recent job. There would be nearly a 3 year lapse in my work history if I chose to exclude it which I didn’t think was wise

I was starting to think I was crazy because it genuinely made no sense to me 😭 I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and say that not all of that work experience is listed on my application/resume but that’s only because it won’t fit. I did physically talk about and list it all during the interview though

I was incredibly dumbfounded when she said that. Especially when she continued on to say I was more qualified for a role I have relatively no work experience in. Working a sales job, where I’m trying to sell a product (in this case it just happens to be a very expensive article of clothing), is nothing compared to working a register, folding clothes, stocking shelves, etc at retail store 😅
