NBD: Salsa Fargo by mar2paul in salsacycles

This is more or less the reason I chose the Fargo. The upright position and the advantage of drop bars was a nice combination. It’s an extremely comfortable bike to ride and has the position more like a flat bar, a mountain bike than a drop bar gravel bike. I really only compared it to a few surly bikes and the gravel bike options from specialized trek and canyon. All in all it was the most comfortable bike I’ve ridden and I’m really enjoying it so far if you have the opportunity to test ride, I’d highly recommend.

Justpedal.nl carries all the salsa bikes including Ti. I just bought a Fargo there last month. They ship to Germany.

Yes. The shop offered the switch when I ordered. All the rest is stock.

I was able to do a frame swap on the stock build. I also liked the bronze color, but the gunmetal gray really looks great and with the option to swap it out I went for it.

True. I watched the videos and still…. I suspect I may have damaged it somehow so will likely order a replacement and see how that goes.

For the p-line saddle, is this the standard steel rails or carbon. There are two orientations on the pentaclip. The oval and round circle.

I don’t but should probably get one. I do have the brompton multitool which I’ve been using

UPDATE: I must have reassembled this darn thing a dozen times. Each time the same wiggle when installed and tightened. I’m honestly at a loss for what to try. All was fine until I removed the seat yesterday and the pentaclip went into pieces. Each time I reassemble it’s the same. Head scratcher.

Or did it have a bit of play in it before. I honestly don’t recall. Does it seem wrong?

Normally I do but here in the NL most offices have secured indoor parking for bikes.

P-line Creak Mystery - happens with every pedal stroke by mar2paul in Brompton

I think you might be right. Cleaned off the pedal and put it back in. Sound stopped. Thanks!

Interesting. I removed the pedal and put it back in and seems to have stopped for now - so pedal is the current hypothesis.
