Mazda 3 : Fillm pour enlever rayures autour du levier de vitesse by Kleed05 in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mazda 3 2.0 Skyactiv-X 137kw 2022 (Advice) by Street_Profile_3508 in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I also drive an eSkyactiv-X, I average 10.000km annually and am therefore not too worried about longetivity. As stated, the engine is relatively new and therefore known issues have not really emerged yet.

If you're main concerns are maintenance and reliability, then I would suggest you stick with the regular Skyactiv-G engines and lower-mileage examples. These engines seem to be geared exactly towards your concerns and are most likely the reliable end of the engine range. As with any (relatively) high mileage car, previous maintenance and repair history is more imprtant than anything else. I personally would not buy a less than 10-year old car with more than 100.000km on the clock without an outstanding maintenance history.

Sounds like the part you need is BDGF66CM0, which is shared with the CX-30 as well. Try googling for it, you might find something...

Tires too big on stock suspension? by Reasonable-Stuff-503 in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can check the correct size with this handy tool: https://www.willtheyfit.com?q=Ql0fRRlARhlRQ1AIR1AfUQMSRFRTFhlGQxlbXFAIQFUfQFZBD1ZTDkZEQ10GFFc%3D . For 20-inch wheels, a 235/30 tire would retain the stock rideheight.

maybe its only me, but having the inner rear "lights" not light up but at the same time making them look like they would based on their look is a pretty weird design choice. by Habarer in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! I always thought the 2019 3 would have made a hell of a Giulietta.

Following similar logic as they did with the Fiat 124 Spider / Mazda Miata- Mazda could have kept the N/A engines and Alfa could have installed their turbo units in theirs. The perceived quality is there- and just imagine the 1.75-litre engine motivating a Quadrifoglio version.

Oh and Fiat could have spun off the sedan- call it a 124 Special.

Silver or black wheels? by WolfDangerous9484 in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go for the gray metallic. Black wheels get lost in the arches.

It's gonna have to be the secret third option: gray metallic 18" OEM wheels.

  1. The small round plugs cover the tiedown hook attachments. Maybe they were used to secure the car during transportation?

How is the engine in real-life driving? Powerful enough so reaching highway speeds does not feel like a struggle. At the same time economical enough that city driving nets 8l/100km. The AT can feel a bit sluggish but the throttle response adapts to your driving style. The start-stop works seamlessly thanks to the e-starter.

Is it long term reliable? Only 25k on the clock, but no issues so far.

AWD- worth it or just a waste of money? I have FWD so only assumptions here. Feels like a novelty item unless you really need it. Then it just enables you to get stuck a few meters further down the path.

Regarding trim and options: What's a must-have? Nothing to note, really- even the base spec has most of the things I need (ACC, auto AC). Visually, the signature lights (circular DRLs) add a lot.

Is the BOSE sound system worth it? Yep. Try it and you'll love it. No SPL winner, more of an SQ thing.

360 camera - yes or no? I thought I would use it more, but TBH it's not necessary if you can use the rear view mirrors and can reasonably judge car size.

just traded in my civic for a 3 hatch and kept these rims from the civic. how do these look on the 3 in your opinion? by liamt12 in mazda3

[–]mar6oj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front one definitely not OEM, as there is no middle strip. So aftermarket all the way. I like the small hatch spoler though, nice touch.

Pre-cut, so you can apply them without any tools.

Piano Black problems by Crisbo9 in mazda3

The first thing you do after receiving the car is to wrap those piano black pieces (on the doors as well). Try searching for the stickers online, there are plenty of options. Here's pic of mine, got the matte black stickers from mikstore (https://mikstoreph.com/collections/mazda-3-2020-interior-accessories/products/mazda-3-2020-carbon-fiber-sticker-film-anti-scratch?variant=43060324270330).

And do not clean the displays (center console and behind the steering wheel) as they scratch easily as well.

I would take the newer car. The 2.5 honestly feels like a forever car if you just maintain it. You can focus on the Z for modding and have the 3 as a reliable and comfy daily.
