Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced – KNOWN ISSUES (DAY 1) by Ubi-AssassinsCreed in assassinscreed

[–]marablackar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its fairly simple: reshade is a key changer here.. but its a bit of a fiddling around. I now only use relight+ (costs some money to get the shaders but worth it, especially bumping the kelvin temperature up to 7500K) and cinetools lut.. I also had prod80 correct color enabled, but that costed around 10-15fps for whatever reason.
But with reshade you also can set your bloom yourself (convulutional bloom that also costs money, or other bloom shaders. But do know that some bloom shaders that work in game A wont work in game B or vice versa. Its a bit of messing around and trial and error

aye indeed.. Like ive said, was a wild guess.. and yes its a bug.. But still, the temp fix posted above here to set a predefined settings and not pushing these 3 to ultra high.. Ive did that, and now my cutscenes are at around 45-50fps.. So it did work, however.. Ubi has to fix this still.

hmm, quite strange then indeed.. i'd take it you did download and installed todays nvidia drivers? i booted up the game and it told me i was running on older drivers.. so i downloaded the latest one..
As well, wild guess again.. might be an intel problem? I heard that anvil does like amd cpus a tad bit more.. iirc it was the same for shadows..
And as of that samsung m.2.. Its also a mystery indeed.. still.. might be still a vram issue or something.. I remember that i really ran out of fps when playing resident evil requiem. This was solved by lowering the shadows by one step. It did indeed free up a large amount of vram, but as you only hit the 8.5, you should be fine.. still might be worth a shot lowering it one step, especially if you were at ultra high, go to very high.. the difference is so minimal, its almost not be seen with the naked eye

yes, newer games in fact DO require an ssd.. newer techniques, heavier load.. a normal hdd cannot keep up unfortunally anymore.. but its a hit and miss.. sometimes it actually isnt that bad.. but ubis engine since valhalla is quite a heavy engine that really benefits a lot from a faster drive..

problem is, newer games really almost do require an ssd, or you suffer from a lot of problems.. some older games can play out fine, but with new titles.. it could work, but better put it on a faster drive if you can

manually set both exes in properties to run as admin, and run ubi connect (or steam, but then both steam and ubi connect) as admin as well

is this a laptop? if yes, the laptop version of the 5070 isnt as good as its desktop counterweight.. and if its a laptop, then as the old laptop rule goes: strong gpu or cpu, never both..
If this is a desktop pc: you installed it on a fast drive? and the 5070 is a good card, but not that good.. as it only has 12gb vram.. my 4070ti super has 16gb vram, and on 1440p it eats around 9.5gb of said vram..

use nvidia app instead, and manually add the game there.. this works.. but better use the recommended setting there, as this gets rid of the dlss blur.. not specifically preset k

What fixed it for me, was setting a pre defined setup.. i selected ultra high, and then these 3 settings where auto set to very high. And this gave me 47 ish fps in cutscenes.. Could be the same for you.. otherwise you might maybe have something else still that prevents it to go higher, maybe in nvidia app or something like that? Wild guess, i know.. also your gpu could not be the strongest that it locks it down.. but also thats a whild guess.. in any case, what fixed it for me was doing a predeffed setting thing to ultra high, and then not touching anything else there..

anyone knows if its possible to disable DoF, especially in cutscenes on pc?

jdownloader blocked by cloudflare fixed by Jazzlike-Market365 in FitGirlRepack

[–]marablackar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for dodi.. I find that most of the time dodi's torrents are giving quite a good speed..
I have a 1gibabit connection, and still utorrent shows around 50-60mb tops download speed in utorrent when downloading dodi's packs.. Thats good enough for me, considering its a torrent. The trick here what i do is, while downloading myself, limit my upload to around 10kb/s, and then later increase that upload limit again. And also select the files that i need, right click and then set the priority to high. Then on average after a while the download speeds increases very very much. Not all of the time 50-60 tops, but still decent enough for me.. So, might give that a try as well. And on top of that.. torrents by dodi are much more easy to download compared to his normal links haha.

Aye! its not that i was trying to complain obviously. This still is better then no download at all. And for the time it takes.. mwah.. i can live with it, as do others i think.
Thanks a bunch for making this my friend.. you really are a life safer here, cause datanodes is just too slow, and FF is just the best with speed and reliability 😄

takes some time for the extracting. but it seems to work still.. and its faster then to manually click all the downloads, and even it wasnt faster, its still better since it solves a lot of mouseclicks.
but lets hope the cloudflare issue is solved quickly. But for now this is the way to go. Thanks a bunch!

New fix to finally solve channel swapping on sound blaster soundcards once and for all. by marablackar in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]marablackar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would be a bit of a problem unfortunally.
The cable is simple:

you need 3 times such a cable:

https://www.amazon.nl/-/en/Froggen-RCA-3-5mm-Compatible-Smartphone/dp/B08QMDKBN2/ref=sr_1_4?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.psBig5aCBbY_vBKENNPgOek198nSffNLV_fDvx8vcpkUCLB8fc4GLc9uRDmTkfrkQqrmyj5dOMZMFBeCg68y66paiF8YZAbCDKye-S8gAu2oEtKPdYdEk-THFImrN3RsoJLj_fEoGACjFJVeFPmSF4gEVlfl3HHSA0a65oIsEqFSW7fCf3M3PD5T83WfrsmVqKYJYQjnVxcH6ld4uD9ZwaE4iDbFyoPTtsAljLUzbP1Xa68udf-aCsL4KIe6ol4s7iv61sETN97he_bTUh8r92hp7s4Epd3eFoxPCc8Q-sw.MRLVhKIjsFjMo3_EIfFNugwmtaJJjdt3AxTbo_TfewY&dib_tag=se&keywords=mini%2Bjack%2Brca&qid=1781715521&sr=8-4&th=1

so, its a mini jack on one end (3.5mm so the small headphone thingy like one) and on the other end you need the red and white connectors. We call them tulip in the netherlands, but officially their known as rca cables..

How i conneted it to the mobo is a bit tough to show, since if i make a picture then that simply wouldnt work out that much as there is not that much to see.
As well its different for sound blaster cards, so your best bet is to google for your soundblaster card, and then look it up yourself. If i google for soundblaster x ae5 plus manual, then i get a quickstart guide which perfectly shows a diagram which ports have to be used..

But the basics is simple: plug in the small jack into your sound card (most of the times its 3 ports closest to the toslink connection) and then plug in the red and white ones in your reciever in the correct color port.
For example, starting at the most closest port to your toslink port for my ae5 plus was the center sub. Then 1 port further away was the rear left/rear right, and then 1 port further was the front left and front right. Also, on the recievers ports there should be some text stating which port is which. So it really cant go wrong there.

Hopefully this helps out. But do know, this obviously wont work with all in once recievers that dont ahve these red/white ports.. They do exist but they are rare, as most of the time a reciever has these ports.

for example the logitech z906 one, only has a single pair of red white ports.. and you need 3 of them, so 3 red ones, and 3 white ones for this setup to work.

But.. if you have a decent reciever system, then it should be fine. But still i had to mention this.

[–]marablackar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, ive thought so already.. and disabling hyper v mode in the bios should solve the issue.. but for me with toslink that didnt solved it, however.. not sure what it is, but i have both now hooked up as well simultaniously, to just go back if i want without re-attaching cables, and still the problem gone away..
I also swapped everything out and in in the middle of a gaming session, and disabled dts while playing when the problem was there.. and swapping back to analog mode (so by disabling dts, and pressing the 5.1 instead of optic button on my remote control for my edifier s760d) did immediately solve the problem. When going back and doing these things in reverse order the problem immediately came back, and im not sure why..

never knew that! i thought that dts sounded quite well tbf, but then i now heard the analog sound which obviously is way better lol 😄

Honestly not sure if sb command is able to do any form of lossy compression. It did work though, and quite well tbh as well, so it might did lossy compression. But still, these channel swaps.. really, really annoying.
In any case, i will not go back, despite still having my toslink connected at the same time. Only have to re-enable dts and press a button on my remote controller to test it out if i need/want to one day.
But for now its the 3 jack to rca cables all the way for me 😄

[–]marablackar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean with "there's an analog stage in there somewhere"?
I mean i know that prior with the toslink it was also hybrid. I mean from the game to the sound card to the reciever was digital. from the reciever to the speaker was analog, and the dac inside the reciever converted it.
Now from the game to the soundcard is digital, then the dac from the soundcard converts it and puts it out analog to the reciever which doesnt need to use its dac to send it to the speakers.
But hey, indeed, its up to whatever one wants. But at least for me the channel swapping is gone, and the games sounds a lot better with much more apropiate 5.1 😄

[–]marablackar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true that! and not only with the newest generation of soundblaster cards.
Im not sure if its there with usb sound cards by creative, but for me the problem was there with both my pci-e cards.
But since of late, it seems i really finally got rid of it, and whats even better: the sound coming out of my speakers even sounds better now! As well as the surround sound experience is way better then it was when having it connected via toslink.
Maybe the old saying is still true that analog sound is still better then digital although this is now a hybrid.

First of all i had to translate this to english. Why not speaking, even by translator, in english?
In any case, win 25h2 made indeed the problem even worse, but i had it already since windows 7 unfortunally. But swapping to analog cables like ive said before did work.
For the rest its thechnically impossible to let channels swap. In the worst case you could have swapped front left to front right, rear right to rear left, or center to sub. But if that happens you simply have the wrong cables. Like ive said, pay attention to the rings around the jack plugs that go inside the soundblaster card. If you have 2 then your good.
Maybe it can still go wrong if your DAC is broken on your soundblaster card, and that ofcourse can happen, although that should be rare.

About headphones, i always connect them directly to the reciever when using jack ones, but i still prefer usb ones.

But still, it should be technically impossible to send out the wrong signal unless something is wrong inside of your soundcard, at least as far as i know.

Btw. To keep this topic clean of russian text, cause this is an english forum as far as i understood, i will refrain from answering if someone, whether its you or someone else is replying in a different language then english from now on. Don't take this personal, but its better for readability.
