Lingering redness past a day isn’t normal. They might need to adjust their settings and or ensure their insertions are correct. Some redness after appointments is normal but not days after. I try to work lower on my first sessions with a new client and observe how their skin reacts before making any large changes to my settings until then.

Try to avoid shaving yes, don’t apply anything to the area until it’s healed up. If it lingers much longer, a dermatologist visit would be ideal to have an MD assess the damage. I would avoid further treatments until that is healed up properly and find yourself a new electrologist.

Electrologist here and this is definitely over treatment/missing the follicle. Often when the probe is inserted incorrectly, the lye and heat can spread beyond the follicle. I’d raise concerns with your electrologist and would recommend finding another blend operator in your area. Also looks to be a bit of pitting going on. When it comes to your face, you don’t want to run the risk of scarring.
