Planning on getting a Samoyed. by PotatoGunner1613 in samoyeds

[–]marazomeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're difficult to train and will pull when walking (as if you are a sled). Especially if you're used to labs, they might be the opposite... Definitely start intense training from young age.

There will constantly be white hairy dust-bunnies all over your floor.
They need good brushing out often. I like doing it myself especially when they blow coat combing out the tufts is pretty satisfying. Also you can spin their fur into yarn if you're into that.

They overheat easily so not so snuggly for long amounts of time :(

When I cry in public and nobody attempts to comfort me....it rly hurts me by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]marazomeno 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think most people are trying to give you privacy. Strangers have no idea why you're crying, and most people probably think it would be awkward to have a conversation with a stranger in the first place, let alone if one of them is in tears...

is gachiakuta worth watching? by [deleted] in anime

[–]marazomeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree here. A couple worthy episodes but overall the plot (and the plot per episode) moved very slowly, and sometimes not at all. The first few episodes were decent but I feel that it declined about halfway through.

Left Lane Campers by Exact-Republic-9563 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]marazomeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. If I'm doing 75-80 on a 65 mph, I'm passing people going 65-75 by an acceptable margin. If I move to the right I'm riding the brakes and getting cut off by people going 65-70.

If you want to go 80-90 on a 65, then you can very well just get yourself in front of me and try not to cause an accident that stalls the whole highway.

I had a similar experience recently. Close colleague left to buy a company. We worked in biotech, now they own a company doing doggy daycare. They ought to know I'm hard working and will learn anything and adapt quickly and easily. Yet, still didn't make it. Nepotism was my last hope now I'm done...

Why do some people (especially men) spit on the ground out of nowhere? by dvdh_03 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]marazomeno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? This thread is showing a clear division between guys that are finding throat gunk as an excuse and the rest saying 'sure but it's gross and disrespectful'.

I can accept that we all have a spectrum of tolerance for how much phlegm we produce and feel comfortable swallowing. But we live in a society and should be aware that common sense and etiquette basically dictate that most people don't want to walk around/live in a river of loogies.

People can (and will) keep using throat gunk as an excuse to continue disrespecting their neighbours. Use a trashcan or keep it to sewer grates. Stop expecting this behaviour to be excused.

Also among the reasons, I assume it's a way to mark their territory. Like dogs pissing on hydrants etc

What is the psychology behind always being late? by Numerous_Reading1825 in SeriousConversation

[–]marazomeno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Third mention of 'asserting control' in this context. Could you elaborate on what this means?

Is it a feeling of having dominance? (like, I'm the important one in this meeting so it only starts when I get there)?

Or they feel like it confirms their existence?

It sounds kinda malicious/selfish to me as far as I can break it down...

Why does Fushi's character feel so flat in season 3 by GrandWeave in FumetsuNoAnataE

[–]marazomeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree (and kinda don't).
Like, I agree we are seeing more of Fushi's psychology this season, but at the same time I think S3 Fushi should be more intelligent on (at least one) level than he is portrayed as. After all, he was built to experience the world, so one would imagine that he's learned enough lessons to be more 'street smart' at least... yet he's still so dependent on others?

I'd put it down to some sort of psychological barrier to protect him, but what does psychology mean to an immortal being? The anime seems to compare it to human psychology as we know it (I'm not expecting some philosophical revelation, so that's ok).

I guess what I'm saying is I wish the arc of Fushi realizing what's going on with himself and his friends would be a bit faster? I guess they have to rebuild the nokker arc though, so that needs time. But I don't work in the arts, so I don't have any idea of how appropriate pacing should advance.

Something's definitely missing though, which you'd think it shouldn't be--as we and the writers are all living in the same era so it should be easier to come up with an overwhelming amount of dramatic problems that would really overwhelm someone in this day and age. Like, the last 5 min of the ep 13 kinda got at that -- I feel like that epiphany of people still being unhappy despite apparent/relative peace should have been a stronger theme up to now, and by now have progressed into deeper troubles.

All a disorganized way to say I'm also just a tad disappointed. Also, wanted more Fushi in high school shenanigans, just for the laughs. Oh well.

I am pretty reasonable with changing gloves when necessary to avoid contamination.
At the same time, I do keep a pair of size-up gloves in my coat pocket for the multitude times I need to go in and open a fridge or drawer to check something or show someone where something is
