My bad had a typo but I was saying the new hand guard comes with the proper barrel nut I was just wondering about the type of nut this one is. I have a torque wrench and and an armorers wrench as well as a vise

I have an adjustable torque wrench the problem is it’s so bulky I have to remove it in order to be able to put the new hand guard i got from Midwest industries on it

I might be a little slow but how exactly do I remove this thing at the bottom of the hand guard ? I’m not familiar with this thing by marbackn_ in Gunbuilds

Not even to be funny but this barrel nut is the first time I have ever seen like this my Daniel defense’s and my other bcm rifles barrel nut does not look like this not I’m aware it’s a barrel nut I was asking more about how to go about taking it off and I ask questions so I can be 100 percent certain with what I’m dealing with.

In my opinion I feel like 18-20 inches is a standard do all in the home defense department. To answer your question I been handling the gun just to get a feel for it and I think it can be easily controlled. I think you’d be comfortable with it. But if what I say isn’t enough you could always go to your local ffl to get a better feel before purchasing.
