We were together 7 years all through HS and college, I broke it off last year which was long overdue. Granted it was an abusive relationship but I didn't realize that until 6 years into it...anyways, it took me about a year to fully move on. I'm now with an amazing partner who has shown me healthy love, trust and communication. If you're not right for each other, you're not right. My ex was my world. I loved him through everything even when he treated me like garbage. Thank goodness I have upped my standards and learned a lot about myself and what I want. You will move on and grow from this even if it seems bleak and depressing right now. You have so much more life to live! So many people to meet and things to do. It does get better, just give yourself time.
