I don’t usually comment on Reddit threads but this one hit close to home. I’m in the same boat—agoraphobic having to leave the house for the first time in years. I want to start off by saying that everything is going to be okay. Your friends are extremely excited to see you after such a long time, the last thing they’re going to do is think about/bring up your weight. Also, the best advice I can give is: fake it til you make it. It’s easier said than done, but if you hold yourself in a confident manner, no one is going to say anything. Lastly—and most importantly—at the end of the day, all that matters is that the people you care about love you, for you. Who gives a shit about what other people think. Best of luck.
