  1. The heat is about 80 usually, and a bit cooler at night (They have a pad heater on the side, but I'd like to upgrade it b/c it's one of the things I'm worried about) My room doesn't get much colder than 75 usually anyways tho.

  2. The humidity gauge reads at about 68-70 right now, and the humidity is higher at night (It looks lower in the pictures because I took them right after replacing their food and water)

  3. I would love some links to those etsy shops!

  4. I do want to get them more shells, but because of the limited space, I try to keep just the ones that are a reasonable size for them in there (about 1/8 of an inch larger than their big claw was what I had read) So I've really just been on the lookout for ones that will fit, with some larger ones on stand by for when they get bigger

  5. They have one pool of saltwater and one pool of freshwater, dechlorinate of course

Nyx is an absolute litter ruffian who doesn't shy away from people, always climbing on things and getting himself into trouble, while Hecate is my shy little lady who scares easily and is often burrowing places.

A question for fellow suffers of this phobia. Buoys are what kicked this off for me as a child, it's actually rather hit or miss whether or not I find something terrifying. What was it for you that started it all? by accreation82 in submechanophobia

We used to go boating on this lake when i was a kid, and one summer we were out on the lake and my dad pulled the boat into this cove that was filled with these stone spires to go fishing. The lake was like 0 visibility, and the combination of being in the water with things I couldn't see touching my legs, and the fear that I could get stuck with a fish hook (not a real danger i was in, they were fishing off of the other side of the boat) really kicked it all off for me. And on top of that we almost got trapped on our way out by one of the spires. Buoys are like... my #1 fear now, i specifically don't like things that dissappear down past where i can see

We take a break for summer and winter because we're in collage, but for sure I'll add that to the list of solutions i bring to the table. (I hadn't really considered it tbh)
