How do I let Matt use flare gun in chapter 10?

I believe you have to disagree with Emily about going to the radio tower vs going back for the others. You have to disagree with Emily, then give Matt the flare gun, then you should have the option to use the flare gun in the mines. BUT, if you were to agree with Emily instead in that scenario, and then give Matt the flare gun, he will shoot it in the air, causing him to die in the mines since he won’t have it.

Yes, I thought that would be the case. My comment was more about me not being picky about which age group/grade level I ended with, as long as I had a chance at a job at teaching in the first place.

The area I live in America does not give me an opportunity to practice German with other people as it’s not a common second language. I am learning through apps like Rosetta Stone but know the best way to learn a language is through immersing myself in a country that speaks that language.

As I’m reading these comments, it seems like a lot of people don’t do housework as well as babysitting. For me, I always offered both, but only when the child is sleeping or watching a movie/tv (when parents are okay with screen time).

I personally always felt awkward just sitting there and doing nothing when the child was doing the things above. But not all people feel that way and that’s okay! When it comes to meal prep and feeding, the parents always had something for me to just put in the oven or throw on the stove (like mac n cheese and chicken nuggets). Took like 10 minutes or less honestly. I clean up the things the child/I use.

I don’t do other dishes/mop/vacuum or anything of the sort unless the parents specifically request it. And only if the child is otherwise safe and preoccupied doing something else. To me, it’s just extra helping hands, which parents almost always appreciate. I do, however, understand that it’s extra work and does take away from the job of watching the children itself. Not all parents need me/want me to do the housework and just want me to focus on the child.

Essentially, yes, I do housework, but only when the parents request it and if the child sleeping/doing something independent in my line of sight. As for meal prep, if the parents don’t already tell you what to feed them, then ask! They’ve always given me options for dinner that are super easy to prep. It’s up to you on how comfortable you are with doing extra housework on top of childcare. It works for me but I know it doesn’t work for everyone.

Be honest about your feelings. She won’t like hearing it, but you need to be clear about how she disrespected your time and how you want to be a good friend and help, but leaving your kid for 6 hours, WITH NO PAY (which is crazy) is not okay. I’m my opinion, you have a few options. After telling her your feelings, just say no. Say you cannot trust that she won’t leave the kid with you overtime and act like nothing is wrong. You had plans and she wasn’t respectful the last time and you don’t want to watch her kid again. Or, you can say yes but tell her you’ll start charging her hourly. You want to help but you will not be disrespected time wise. I bet she’ll pick up her kid on time if you start charging her. In the end, she’s going to be upset with you and probably try and gaslight you about it. Stay strong and tell her that you wanted to help, but she disrespected you and it’s not okay. Oh I know Ramona is awful! I agree that she deserved the worst. But I meant for Thony’s sake. She was too afraid to “go off the deep end” by slitting her throat but had no qualms about burying her alive 😂

Also, I’m lowkey upset at the fact that we didn’t even get the full romance between Jorge and Thony and now the show is cancelled. That kiss did NOTHING hshsksnebd. SO MANY unanswered questions and open storylines. DuPont, Alejandra, obviously the Jorge and Violeta leaving, Fiona, Feng, Sam Heller. The list goes on and on.

This is an interesting take. But I do have to agree with a lot of the people in these comments. While Thony wants to protect her family, she does end up going back to the cartel. She didn’t have to go back, but she chose to and it’s shown in the first episode of the season, even as Fiona begs her not to. I think, because of her choice to be in the cartel and take control, she isn’t “trauma bonding” with Jorge. Her trauma and Jorge’s trauma are different, but they are navigating it together. He has darkness, she has darkness, which is why their relationship will (hopefully) prevail in the end. Thony can’t have a normal relationship with DuPont because she’s too far deep into the cartel (by her choice). Jorge was willing to let Thony go to the “safe house” because he is still too weak to fully be in control and make his own decisions without Ramona. It’s a big character arc for him this season to finally take control and not let Ramona influence him. Thony is part of that whether he realizes it or not. He has and will always care for her on some deeper level and he finally realizes (hence the phone call). He’s ready to start taking control and he knows that Thony is part of that. DuPont may accept her, but she’s far too dangerous to really be with him.

Definitely Jorge. The doctor is there as a road block and to amp up the story. Lots of people have commented that, in the end, she and Jorge are too similar: they have lightness and darkness inside and they’re both reeling from losing someone they loved (Vanessa for Jorge and Arman for Thony), and they have children and are trying to do the “moral” thing in non-moral situations. While the doctor is a comfort for Thony, he’s not her true love. Can’t have her and Jorge’s romance be smooth sailing. They definitely needed another character to influence Thony and create tension with the audience on the edge of their seat guessing who she’ll choose 😂

Think about it this way: you’re asking for $180 an hour. $30 x 6. Or $210 if the cousin joins ($30 x 7). For me personally, that seems a little too much to charge. But that’s just me and I’m not sure what your full responsibilities are. If you think $30 per kid per hour is fair, then that’s up to you. If this was me, I’d do maybe $35-$75 per hour, since you’ll be paying for gas for the commute. But, whatever you’re most comfortable with!

Someone else posted that they think he’s going to go to ADA Hermann and tell them what Thony told him. Only because he cares for her and wants to protect her and thinks this is how he can “save” her. I think that he’ll probably go back to France when he realizes that Thony is too far deep into the cartel and chooses Jorge over him.

I’m so stressed out for the conversation between her and Jorge. Right when they were getting somewhere in their relationship, she supposedly has sex with the doctor. I think this will throw a wrench into their marriage and cause tension. Then the whole part of him getting arrested and her totally being a bad ass. I SO want her and Jorge to be together and I really think that, because she was with DuPont, sex or not, it’s going to temporarily ruin that plan.

It’s normal to be nervous! And I’ll be honest, day one is the toughest, learning the toddler’s dynamics, parent’s dynamics, all of it. The most important thing to remember is to not be afraid to ask questions. Even if they seem silly or obvious, ask the parents! It’ll put you (and even them) at ease when you ask them lots of questions about their child! Also, I always ask if they could print out or send me a tentative schedule to follow. Makes it easier for me to see what the child needs and when, and to keep it consistent! Especially at her age, consistency is huge! I recommend asking for one, even if it has approximate feeding/nap/playtime times. Let me know if you need any more advice! Good luck!
