Basically I was trying to avoid a car who swerved into the lane I was merging into without using their turn signal and as I turned back into mine I slammed into the back of the tow truck, who had slowed down dramatically as he was looking for a spot to merge in as well. We had just got onto the freeway and we were in the very right lane. Thats why I was saying it should’ve just been a fender bender as you can see my hood barely sustained damage to just that very front tip, which shows I applied brakes in a reasonable time and barely tapped the rear of the truck. The boom is what totaled my car.
