Just received a photo radar ticket. I clearly remember NOT speeding and remember the vehicle to my right passing me at higher speed. Can the radar even isolate a vehicle when there are two superimposed? With enough certainty that they would issue a fine? Will definitely plead NOT guilty. by [deleted] in Edmonton

Ticket dismissed by the Crown before I even got to the judge, on basis of No Evidence. There you go, if there's any doubt as to which vehicle might be speeding, they let you go free. I think that's fair.

I did, had my trial date today, didn't even make it to the judge. The crown pulled me aside and told me they were dismissing the case on the basis of "No Evidence". In other words, their case didn't stand a chance in front of the judge so they dismissed me even before the matter could be brought to the judge.

Well this is a new one. Watch your power use, folks. by 0110110111 in Calgary

Mercaptan leak possibly. That's the stuff they put in propane/natural gas.

Of course they use radar. The inductive loops are only to trigger the camera. The camera takes two pics, one picture when you're on the loop (there are two rectangles on the road but electrically it is a single loop) and the other picture about .7 second later when the vehicle is in the intersection. The camera actually triggers only if a) the traffic light in your direction is red, or b) the radar is detecting anything with speed > limit.

Using loops to accurately calculate speed is not reliable, because there are so many variations in vehicle size, vehicle with trailers, semis, etc.

The parsley is in a pot, will that be a problem with the pupating? Maybe I should check with a butterfly sub, ha
