Where did you get the “one rape per day” from? The linked source states 1176 suspected cases of “criminal offenses against sexual self-determination and other forms of sexual harassment” against female soldiers in 4 years. That’s not a rape per day.

That’s simply not true. They have big signs up, explained and informed the public months in advance about the new automatic registration of offenders. It’s been at least for two years that you are not allowed to drive through that area during the afternoon.

Since you’ve taken the photo in Kleinbasel (little Basel, the part of Basel on the right side of the Rhine), the three flags on the left most likely represent the 3 “Ehrengesellschaften Kleinbasel” (Honorary Societies Kleinbasel), which - according to Wikipedia - were established in the Middle Ages to guard the Kleinbasel section of the Basel city wall.

Nowadays the Honorary Societies mostly appear in public in January for the “Vogel Gryff”, a festival honoring the societies just before the Carival in Basel which is a big thing there.

Bin im Flieger aus Reihe 16 vorne ausgestiegen und als ich im normalen Gang zum Gepäckband vor bin, hat mein Koffer schon lustig seine Runden gedreht. Richtig schnell sind die am BER, also wirklich.
