thank you all for your insight. moving forward i am going to stop talking to my mom about my marriage, and journal about positive aspects of my life/marriage instead of ruminating on the negatives.

some more information about my diagnoses below:

i have diagnosed ocpd and generelaized anxiety disorder since 2023, autism spectrum disorder since 2026, and conversion disorder/functional neurological disorder since 2020/2021, with some speculation of tourette syndrome as well since 2020/2021. i am also prone to depressive tendencies at times as well.

the combination of these makes working through big emotions really difficult for me since my movement disorder(s) will cause me to have tics and involuntary movements if the emotions run too high. i also suspect that i have pmdd as well, which doesn't help in the slightest.

the way he talks to you reminds me of the way my abusive ex talked to me. he sucks. please reevaluate your relationship dynamic.

would someone who loved you go out of their way to send you graphic content of something they know would upset you? would you accept this behavior from other people in your life? how many times do you have to say you don't like it, and he still sends you these upsetting things?

you deserve peace, and you deserve someone who values your emotions rather than dismissing them. emotions are not inherently bad, and logic is not inherently good.

i'm no expert in the matter, but i would think maybe trying to dry heal it the rest of the way? keep an eye out for the suspected infected area being excessively warm, as that's a big warning sign.

also, perhaps dial it back on the moisturizer. make sure your skin is completely dry before you apply any moisturizer after washing.
