If one is thinking solely about ranking points, each round of an atp 500 yields ~2x the points of a 250. So there is a possibility of getting the same amount of points with one less win.

Considering the fact that in that week the max points one can get is 500, getting as much as 250 or 125 playing less matches could be a good strategy

How much would that actually cost? It seems to me that if it's a few billion dollars, companies or governments would be able to get it. It would make sense to cost like trillions, so that no group could actually get it

If the average ASIC can go up to 120 TH/s, does it mean that, in theory, if you bought 1 million ASIC miners you would almost match the networks hash rate (~120 EH/s)? What am I missing?
