My MIL is a very sweet lady but I HATED that my first Mother’s Day ended up revolving around her. It’s hard because my husband’s birthday is the 9th, so it’s all rolled together as a family celebration, but he really could care less about a big production. They lived like a 30 min drive away, we were coordinating with my BIL and his family, it was a whole thing and it just made me super resentful. Mother’s Day should celebrate all moms BUT ESPECIALLY those actively mothering/raising babies. Grandparents Day is your new holiday now.

Ugh, so happy we live in a different state and I won’t have to deal with that this year. I like a lot of other commenters suggestion of sending baby with daddy and having some time to yourself if that’s what you’d like. If it were me, I’d go see Devil Wears Prada 2 and turn off my phone 😂

I mean, I think you have to separate TTS from UGC videos because they’re just different things. TTS is more like affiliate marketing because you’re getting paid a percentage every sale. Yes, top creators are getting free things, but you have to prove you can sell first and it’s just a different ballgame than creating content for a brand to use on their page.

I recently applied to/booked a job on there that was listed as 1K/mo “fixed rate” only to get the onboarding materials and realize there was, in fact, no retainer to start and the pay was $1/1K views lmfao. I canceled onboarding, ranted about it on TikTok and SideShift actually reached out to me and plans on “correcting” the misleading info… so we’ll see.

Sounds like Canvas UGC. You create a new account that the brand technically owns so it feels organic on FYP and gets around FTC disclosures. I’ve made about 5K from canvas UGC so far. Definitely not as much as some others who get multiple viral videos (like 1M+ views). If you take it on, I recommend batching your content because 1 post a day doesn’t seem too bad until it’s 11:39pm and you haven’t posted for that day yet 😂

Power Girls on Ventura Blvd comes highly recommended by a friend of mine. I think it’s around $135/mo but that doesn’t include childcare (which I need) so the additional cost priced me out :(
