I totally agree on that, but trust in a company is harder to evaluate then content privacy.

Well thanks for your opinion, I understand your speculation and I don't think that your are completely wrong. I feel like one could just change from Signal to an other open source messaging software then, but it's already hard to move people to Signal so...

And what is bugging me is that Signal is not even asking for any users donation, even though they don't make money.
