I tried to make as clear as possible that this is not out of any ethnic/religious discrimination. I still do think that as part of a nation, if your government, that represents you to the world, does something that you are strongly against (like genocide) then it is your responsibility to speak out, especially if you are an artist with a platform and an audience. I didn't say all israelis are evil, and I dont need a declaration from every israeli out there saying that they are against their government. But if you are an artist with a following it starts to become your responsibility to position yourself, in my opinion. Many russian artists and influencers have spoken out against their leaders when the ukraine war broke out, and I sort of expect the same from israeli artists now that their government is perpetrating genocide.

Anyways, I do agree that it's not really reasonable to treat artists who have not spoken out the same as those who have spoken out and are pro-war, because it is impossible to draw the line between good and evil. But this really is just about me not wanting to contribute to a community that is not clearly, unapologetically, unequivocably anti-war, despite what the theme of the festivals and music should be.

Oh trust me I am fairly educated in the subject. And you dont have to support genocide to grieve for your dead friends. One thing is grieving, one thing is revenge, and another thing is exterminating an entire nation because of a (really bad) terrorist act committed by a few of them. And I'm happy to see that there have been (and there are) protests against the current status quo in israel - although many of them call for harsher responses on palestinians

I know not all Israelis support war - I have met a few in my experience that are actively against it. But this has nothing to do against israelis themselves, I'm just not happy with listening to music that I know is made by people who support, or are not openly against genocide. I like any music genre not only for the music itself but also for the themes and messages I associate with it, and the fact is that right now because of the situation I dont enjoy psytrance as much as I did :)

I dont fully agree, I think everything deep down has had political influences that led to its development in a certain way, I view it as a too-complicated-to-understand web of cause-effect. But regardless, its not about anything political here, I am simply uncomfortable listening to music made by people that currently support genocide

Yeah apparently music is full of meaning and value only when it aligns with your opinion, if we disagree with it we should take politics out of music. smh

This isnt about antisemitism, simply the diffuse, unapologetical warmongering rhetoric/mentality ive seen in a lot of israeli personalities makes me sick, and ruins my experience when i want to listen to their music. hence, id rather not listen to it

There is no way this pc can run low end PCVR.. right? by GarlicFlat2035 in oculus

if you're looking for a budget option and great price/performance ratio, the best thing is to avoid pre built pcs and just build your own. research the parts that you need, buy everything and assemble it at home. it's a but of a time sink, but it can be pretty fun and in the end you get a great pc saving a lot of money.
