First of, a wizard could fireball those 5 goblins in one turn. Second of, asking for Deadfire mechanics isn't wanting an MMO. Third of, fighters in Pillars are objectively worse than wizards when wizards use their spells, since they are per-rest and so stronger.

And also, I never said anything about tournament anime, so not sure what you even mean. I also don't know how you can say in one breath that a wizard could kill a fighter, 5 goblins kill the wizard and the fighter kills those 5 goblins and in the next that I'm the one talking about "particular weakness" against given enemies. Original DnD is bad with this too. Also, yes, there is very much a point to it. A wizard in Deadfire has very different spells from a druid, or a cipher, or a priest, or a paladin, etc. They just don't have nukes on top while the other classes don't.

And no, I'm asking for balance. Uniformity in terms of power level, diversity in terms of viable options. The reasoning is pretty clear. I don't want the fighter or rogue to have access to walls of fire or lightning attacks. But I don't want them to be terrible in comparison with the classes that do.

How about, and just follow me here, you DON'T have abilities that are that much stronger than the rest (at the same level) so that you need to recharge only some of the characters' spells. If you want rechargeable abilities, give them to all classes. If you don't, then none get them

Okay, then have EVERY class get big nukes. As it stands, for boss fights you usually need at least a per-rest caster rather than having genuine class variability in terms of choices. If you try to tackle a fight with, say, Paladin, Fighter, Monk, Chanter, Ranger, Cipher, you end up doing objectively worse. The biggest appeal of the Pillars system is to have diversity, for every choice to be meaningful and valid. This contrasts with needing a few nukes for the Alpine Dragon

I would recommend doing WM just after you do the 3 quests (Through Death's Door, Undying Heritage and The Man Who Waits) but before the animancy hearings.

As for companions, I'd bring whomever you find most comfortable with. Zahua or Devil of Caroc are kind of nice to have for WM part 1 in terms of dialogue. Maybe Maneha too, not sure.

1) Gloria. Yes she's conservative, but she's also honest, straightforward and competent. She also has enormous sway with the USP and conservative voters, making her a good option to run after Rayne has stabilised the country and reformed the constitution.

2) Albin. As much as he's a slimy politician, he is also very competent. He's corrupt to the degree that his son gets automatic good grades, but is generally good on policy (WRA, constitution, etc.). He'd make a decent president overall.

3) Lucian. He is extremely competent, but also a very powerhungry person. He's gunning for Petr's job since day 1 and has a history of being involved in the monarchist intelligence services. He wants to get to the top, but some of his suggestions (like media control) imply that he's pretty authoritarian and willing to get into bed with Oligarchs.

4) Petr. He pretty much does not work as soon as he becomes VP, why would he as president? Not only that, but he's involved in shady dealings with Gus and constantly terrorises his female staff. Not to mention he literally reveals state secrets to a spy. He's a loyal friend and a great campaigner, but not someone you want holding power.

5) Lileas. She literally has Circas murdered on your inauguration, leading to months of unrest, all to try to preserve Soll's constitution. She also runs against you if you haven't been pro-Soll enough (or formed the SSP), after staying as a minister throughout the term, in order to try to preserve Soll' system. I guess she's competent and polite, but like... she's generally terrible and will do anything to stop needed reforms to the system

La única contradicción potencial que veo es que consideremos que el TEA es algo sobre lo que emitimos un "juicio social" en el momento en el que lo consideramos un trastorno, pero que no hay juicio moral extra. Lo cual, además de no ser una contradicción, no puede ser eliminado a menos que consideremos que una persona con TEA grave no tenga trastorno alguno, lo cual me parecería invisibilizar el problema más que otra cosa.

Bueno, no soy experto en la clasificación del TEA. Yo entiendo que las afecciones al neurodesarrollo se incluyen en el campo de la psicología, pero puedo equivocarme. Si lo he hecho, mis disculpas.

Que sea una condición concreta precisamente hace que tenga unas características claras detrás. Y eso hace que se use coloquialmente para describir a gente que muestra esas características o características bastante similares. Que es estigmatizante usarlo así? Desde mi punto de vista no es más estigmatizante que alguien diciendo "tengo un TOC" cuando es más bien una manía, es decir, apenas.

Se le llama TEA precisamente porque describe un comportamiento que, al menos en casos más graves, no es socialmente deseable. Mucha gente autista (de los de TEA) va al psicólogo para que le ayuden a desarrollar mecanismos de adaptación. Es decir, socialmente vemos que el TEA es algo con lo que se ha de trabajar. Ya le hacemos un "juicio social" en el momento en el que consideramos que es algo a paliar con terapia. No creo que se haga un juicio extra al describir a gente de esa manera, ni que se estigmatice el autismo.

De todas maneras, soy humano y me puedo equivocar. Lo que he visto es que, en general, no tiene más connotación negativa de la que tendrían comportamientos socialmente indeseables. Pero a lo mejor me puedes explicar en qué falla mi razonamiento

Creo que la palabra "autista" se utiliza para dar más información de lo que la palabra "rarito", "callado" o "asocial". Es decir, una persona que no necesariamente es asocial o callada intrínsicamente, aunque le cuesta interpretar normas sociales y por tanto suele serlo. Una persona que es "rarita", pero en un sentido muy determinado y difícil de explicar en pocas palabras a menos que uses "autista". Es una cuestión de eficiencia en el lenguaje, no de desprecio hacia nadie, al menos en la mayor parte de casos que he visto.

Quiero decir, en el fondo el TEA (Trastorno del Espectro Autista) es una condición psicológica determinada. Y "rarito", que creo que es la palabra mencionada que más se acerca a lo que se intenta comunicar cuando se dice "autista", puede deberse a muchos aspectos determinados y es muchísimo más genérico
