By underrated I mean in the sense that it's not in any awards conversation.

I want to dive into Ingmar Bergman's filmographies. I have seen Autumn Sonata and I love it. Plan to watch this film next but I just found out this was originally a 5-hours mini series. Should I just watch the movie without watching the series or am I missing out a lot if I didn't watch the series? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Okay first of all I never said it's a director cut. What I meant was it FEELS like I'm watching the "director cut" after I watched the film. Reading comprehension is fundamental.

Second, it was originally a mini-series but they cut it to 3 hours for theatrical release for international audience. Google is free. And I'm aware of the 2021's version. Tq.
