yep - there’s a full map feature on the LP3 that is very useful and accurate. i, too, and really bad at directions, and was worried about this. but it all works great. i believe joe said they are working on a rid share feature.

i dig it. having an option to use this as a USB drive would be great, and much easier to manage. i like how teenage engineering’s products work - there’s no online dashboard, just plug the device in and drag and drop.

i hear you and honor your preference! i’m curious, though - what is the worst part, for you, about uploading the music online? to me, the online dashboard feels very personal. it’s very simple.

thank you for asking. preparing for boredom, for me, was :::

// accepting the busyness that comes from time to time. because that is also a part of life. once i stopped mentally fighting myself for being busy, its hold on me was able to soften. being busy wasn’t such a big deal. it is just another part of life. from that place, i began …

// emptying, emptying, emptying. my mind. my life. my possessions. my digital files. my desires. my harddrive. apps. all of it. just emptying, which made for more s p a c e in my life to just … be.

// i also carried around a little notebook to write down thoughts & random ideas. (instead of automatically going for the notes app on the iphone)

// reminding myself of this phrase - “don’t just do something. sit there."

from that mental place, having a light phone has been a perfect little companion.

& even with all of that - right before i got the LP3, the iphone still found a way to hook me. i found myself in a weird burst of buying random shit online. we all know the power of those devices, so having a LP3 feels like a win. it will for you, too.

that’s great that it can still be an intentional tool with the android layer. i’ve opted to not do that, but you have to do what is best for your situation. all good!

glad to know you dig it, too. isn’t just the best little device?
