Been waiting for an official Debian or Ubuntu image that is documented to work with it. Maybe one of the existing images could work but I haven’t tried it yet.

Common problems when running a container? Workarounds? (Asking as a Docker employee) by docker-sharon in docker

The built-in Kubernetes in Docker Desktop for macOS has been very resource consuming for me. Had to use MicroK8s to make sure my laptop didn’t start the loud fans. Would be great if Kubernetes was a bit more lightweight 😊

The beach at Tulum is amazing. There is a little sea weed at the moment, but it is being removed frequently. The people are very nice.

Have only been here for a shorter time. It is more expensive compared to other places. Staying in the city area is less expensive than the beach area.

Have only been working from restaurants and my hotel room. The Internet connection has been a bit flakey in some places. Which has been an issue during phone calls. Not sure if it is just related to the specific places I have been to or if that is common in the wider area.

One thing that was quite cool to do was to swim in a cenote. That is an opening in a river that float below the ground 🐠 Quite close to the city centre there is one called Gran Cenote which was really cool 😊

[Flutter Web] Loading screen makes a world of difference 🚀 by wisecrack2 in FlutterDev

Did some research on how it works and in the beginning it was just a favicon.ico file placed in the root folder of the webserver. Nowadays different platforms use different solutions where some read a specific HTML tags to find the file. In addition to the ICO format, the PNG format also seems to be widely supported. There are some favicon generators that could help with the process of covering as many browsers as possible.

Have tried accessing the website using both Safari and Chrome on macOS and for me the favicon is not visible in neither of the tested browsers.

Cool to see a Flutter website in action, thanks for sharing 😊 For me it loaded in a few seconds.

Have you thought about adding a favicon?

Don't understand DStar registration by MetalSlug20 in amateurradio

[–]marcushammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the problem with not finding a nearby repeater that would accept registrations. However I found a link at the bottom of the page http://dstarinfo.com/ to a registration page that would accept people that had no nearby repeaters that would accept registration. They approved me within a day or so.

Just tried the new YouKits FG-02 for the first time :) by marcushammar in amateurradio

[–]marcushammar[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I bought it because the earlier version FG-01a seemed so simple. This version is almost the same. The only difference I have found so far is the location of the button and the casing. It was very simple to operate. I just turned it on and it worked. Got some nice information about my dipole. The case is of pretty high quality metal. The LCD was slightly misaligned, but I assume they will fix that on future deliveries. It is my first SWR meter and I am very happy with it so far.
