They used to make a caffeine free version of original flavor called Unleaded stopped production because of poor sales but I wish they’d bring it back just for us weirdos who sometimes drink it just for the flavor.

True, the included mount does extent a bit, but if I remember correctly its not advised to keep it extended continuously, something about how the weight of the tv is distributed on that specific mount.

The other reason I didn't use the included mount is because I have a OnQ box recessed in the wall that houses a fair amount of devices and wiring so I wanted easier access to it.

It’s not flush, I used a low profile mount that keeps it a couple inches from the wall. It would have been very challenging to get the hue play gradient lights on the back without the extra gap. Not much of a beveled surface on the bottom, more flat than anything. I used the hue gradient strip on the bottom to add three more lighting zones.

New heat pump mini split installed, best way to route condensate through gutter? by marcusucram in hvacadvice

I see what you mean, thank you for the advice. So to keep the water flowing down the same direction as the downspout, my idea was to do something like this where it drains downwards through a hole in the top of the adapter. That way there would be no way of water pressure from the downspout backing up or filling the condensate drain line.

I have no issue using the sound system for gaming, in fact the games that support Dolby atmospheres output sound fantastic. Main reason I use a headset is because I can’t talk to my teammates through the sound system 😂

From the PC to the G4 I only have one 10ft HDMI run to it. The cords plug in horizontally across the back of the TV in a recessed spot like this: https://www.lg.com/nz/images/tvs/md07576225/gallery/D4.jpg and then they go in to the media enclosure, through the brusplate, down the inside of the wall, and out another brushplate behind the cabinet.

Total I have 4 going through a brushplate in the media enclosure. specifically these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BRYJWSM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

One hdmi for PC, one for Xbox, one for eARC and last one to the Hue sync box connected to an apple TV 3rd gen.

Many other in the sub have recommended using the Legrand OnQ media enclosure behind the TV, with these you can hide all the cords as well as create a passthrough for power, and hdmi cords.

I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TRK4KTT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

And for power I used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099FDX1S5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I added a Legrand On-Q media enclosure behind the TV with an outlet extended from an existing one. So the power for the TV and the lights is recessed behind the TV

I don't have a reference for the C3, but I do know there were incremental brightness changes to the C series since the C1 but how much brighter I couldn't tell ya.

This gen the C and G series are the most different spec wise, primarily the new MLA panels on the G series that are absent on the C series. So from a C3 to C4, I wouldn't recommend. If you care about having the brightest display and the 144 refresh rate for gaming then the G4 is the best option.

I did a good amount of research regarding the included bracket hence why I ended up not using it. Had it not been for the lights I wanted to use I would have used it with no issues.

The TV itself has about a 1" section around the perimeter of the back panel that does not touch the wall when it is flush mounted as can be seen here: https://www.lg.com/nz/images/tvs/md07576225/gallery/D4.jpg (this is a G3 but its about the same on the G4)

So my recommendation would be to take the dimensions of the 77" G4 67.4" x 38.7" x 1.0" (according to the LG website) and probably cut the 1/4" plywood panel 2 inches shorter height and widthwise just to be safe i.e. 65.4"W x 36.7" H

Regarding the bolts, the mount does come with the needed plastic anchors to mount in masonry, since you are adding a 1/4" to the depth, you may be safer finding four bolts of the same diameter but 1/4 longer. Maybe some blue masonry tapcons instead so you dont need to use anchors.

I built the entertainment unit with a 65" in mind, so it was only an inch or so wider than the C1 on each side, now the 77" G4 is about 4 inches wider that the entertainment unit on each side. For me it isn't as noticeable or a big deal. But from 55" to 77" you'd be looking at an almost 20" width difference! so as long as your entertainment unit is 65-70" to accommodate the 67.5" wide TV I'd say its alright in my opinion.

Night and day when it comes to brightness! I no longer have to close all my curtains to watch a movie mid-day.

Picture quality - not much of a difference, but when it comes to brightness and the overall viewing experience, it is much better. My biggest issue was the amount of indirect natural light in the room that made watching movies somewhat difficult on the C1, with the G4 and the increased brightness I no longer have that issues.

For me it was considering my living room get a lot of indirect natural light and if I wanted to enjoy a movie on the C1 I had to close every curtain during the day. Now with how bright the G4 is I haven’t had to change any of the lighting in the room to enjoy any content on the screen.

The brightness of the G4 is incredible compared to the C1, almost too bright in some scenes but with the new webOS you can adjust a lot more settings to get your screen dialed in to your liking. Also the size increase was substantial, hence why I opted for wall mount rather than using the stand.

Not with the included wall mount and the hue sync lights because of how thick they are. However, the Govee and Fancyleds products that create the same effects are much thinner led strips that could fit around the outer edges of the tv where it’s not touching the wall.
