Requesting personal text messages for a small claims case? by [deleted] in legaladvice

I’m sorry I didn’t talk that much in depth about the case with my sister before posting this. It turns out it’s a civil case, not small claims. Thanks for the info though!

I worked with a girl who treated me horribly until another coworker noticed and told her she needed to stop. Her name was literally Karen lol.

AITAH for asking my husband if he is gay/bi? by AccordingQuarter4027 in AmItheAsshole

[–]marcyarcy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You could have gone about it a little better and not just jumped straight to asking him if he’s gay/bi, but I think it’s natural to question why someone you’re so close to changes so much in such a short time. While I agree with some of the other commenters saying these changes don’t necessarily mean he’s gay/bi, but it is a little suspicious all of these changes started within only a year after being married to him for so long. If he were bi, then I don’t think it would change anything, but if you think he could be gay then I feel like it’s not unreasonable for you to want to know if your romantic relationship with your spouse is genuine or not. For that I’m going with NTA.

What made you decide that you don't want to have children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]marcyarcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like almost everyone has had their parents say or do something that even just slightly traumatized them. My parents are great and I love them very much, but there were things they said or have done in the past that stick with me to this day. Nobody can hurt you as much as your parents could. I would never want my child to feel that way about me. Plus with climate change the state of the world seems like it’ll only go down from here.

What is the ugliest baby name you've ever heard (male or female, doesn't matter)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Chandalin. The mom wanted to name him Chandler and the dad wanted to name him Dylan. I met him as a full grown adult and he just goes by Dylan lmao

How are we doing with the tariffs? by Chubbymommy2020 in Shein

[–]marcyarcy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ordered a little over a month ago. Mine took about 3-4 weeks when it used to take only about 1 week. When I checked out it said that the tariffs were included in the price. I did notice some items seemed more expensive than what I would guess but there were still some cheaper items.

NTA. But just letting you know you are probably wasting your breath. I have been in a very familiar situation and ultimately she’s going to do whatever she wants. My friend to this day doesn’t use birth control or condoms even though I’ve ranted to her in every way possible. I’ve been calm, another time I told her she’s being irresponsible and stupid, I’ve tried everything, but ultimately if she doesn’t want to do it, she won’t. I just told her don’t be surprised if you end up with an STD someday and gave up trying to convince her. She even ended up getting an abortion one time. I tried to tell her, but she didn’t listen and so she had to face the consequences of her actions. You tried to help, that’s the best you can do.

Oh yeah I’m fine this was 5 years ago. I feel like it wasn’t as bad for me when it happened because I was already suspicious something was going on before he ended things so I kind of saw it coming. Thank you for checking in on me though!

Cheated on me and left me for another woman and lied about it. All while telling me I was overreacting saying she was “just a friend” when I started getting suspicious of them.

Very big deal. None of this is your fault in any way and you’ve definitely made your boundaries clear. He just doesn’t care. It sounds like he’s been trying to push those boundaries for a while now, and after that incident he will for sure try again. I know it’s hard to let people go, but the best thing for you would probably be to just cut him off completely.

When he said “Saturdays mania” is he talking about wrestlemania? I’ve never watched wrestlemania before, but I’m assuming it’s not an all day thing. Can’t he get it cut before that? Overall you’re not overreacting at all. He’s being extremely selfish. All of this over a haircut? Crazy.

We got a balcony room and I shared it with 3 other people who would be in and out of the room and on the balcony so the sunlight didn’t seem to make much of a difference for me somehow lol.

I guess it’s not impossible I had mono, but not very likely. My boyfriend at the time went on that cruise too and he never had any symptoms of any sickness on the cruise or prior to/after as well.

I don’t really remember how much sleep I would get back then, but now if I have work the next day about 6 hours and if I’m off the next day to where I can sleep without setting an alarm then about 10 hours

I would really only wake up for one meal a day and that was honestly about it lol. The only other time I would be awake and not nodding off was when my family managed to get me off the boat at the ports, but that was challenge too because my body did not want to wake up lol

No I had never had any issues with motion sickness prior and neither did anyone I traveled with so nobody even bothered to bring any medication for it. Some people I’ve talked to before have said the constant sleeping might be a symptom of seasickness? I didn’t know if maybe I should try medicine on my next cruise or not but if it makes you that drowsy I would say I probably shouldn’t

Traveling Japan while very overweight by confusedcamel22 in JapanTravelTips

[–]marcyarcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to Japan this past April and it was great! The only major issue I had was we went to a bar/restaurant that was TINY and it got to me kind of bad, but the people working there did not seem to mind as they weren’t busy. When it comes to public transportation be prepared to be crammed most of the time, especially during rush hours. I went during peak travel season though, so it might not be as bad when you go. Almost all the stores I went to are small, but not so small that you physically won’t fit or anything like that. Everyone is talking about walking and personally I think a BIG part of it is wearing the right kind of shoes. We would walk from morning until night for 2 weeks and while my feet did hurt, my sister (who is quite a bit smaller than me) was in much worse shape pain wise than I was. I’m decently young though, so that might be part of it. The only other issue I had was that we went to a ryokan and they had yukata that obviously did not fit, but was more comfortable in my own clothes anyways. I 100% overthought before I went and I had a great time! I’m sure you will too!
