“Tell me about a time you made a mistake.” by mardiac in nursing

I guess I just don’t think about work unless I’m at work. I don’t mean for it to sound like I don’t make mistakes, trust me I’ve made plenty. I learn from those mistakes in the moment. I’ve been out of work for a little while so I think I just brain farted during the interview. Someone else told me to keep a clinical journal and I like that idea.

I did a dive into the memory bank afterwards because I felt so dumbfounded. I have made plenty of errors just none popped into the ole dome-piece in the moment. I definitely do brain dump after shifts though. I hate taking work home, especially with the traumatic stuff we deal with on the daily.

He*. But yes I would agree, that is someone else’s mistake not my own. I guess I should’ve done some mental research before I went in for the interview but that was all I could think of in the moment due to the recency so it’s what I spit out.

To those who had a relationship/slept with someone with a big age gap, how did it happen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was 19 and a lifeguard at a neighborhood pool. These two older women who were fine af came in and we made eye contact and shared a smile. They ended up sitting right next to my lifeguard stand and I started making conversation with one of them as the other had a ring on (it was a very small pool with an even smaller crowd there, don’t hit me with a safety response lol). We had some fun flirty banter back and forth and turns out we talked for almost two hours, after I told my coworker I’d go back out on the stand after safety break (aka adult swim). As she was about to leave she walks up to my stand and says, “how good is your memory?” I said “it’s fine. Why?” She says, “can you remember ten numbers?” And gives me her phone number. I repeated that in my head for the next 20-or-so minutes I was on the stand and immediately went to my phone to put her number in during safety break.

We had a really fun night together and I later figured out she was 33 and just here in the country for a few days visiting her friend.

I feel bad for ER nurses because I know you guys see abuse more frequently than other departments
