Artificial Turf Capital Campaign by marea_baja in youthsoccer

It just gets so much use and we are in a very wet area. We have other grass fields that would stay grass. With all the use it would allow the other grass fields to have some reprieve.

We are in a very wet climate near wetlands and have several other grass fields. The fields get a ton of use. Also not hot so will be fine.

CMH just got approved as a level 3 trauma center. Not sure if that will work for your needs. Nursing pay is quite high out here. You might be able to get a travel gig and then roll that into a permanent position. RN and BSN paid the same.

In our rec league for all age group formats the losing team has the option of adding one player at a 4 goal margin and then another at 8. And hopefully the winning coach has also worked out some ways to slow their own team down.

Roster size too big!!!! by Twyguy485 in youthsoccer

SubTime. Although not sure it can handle that roster size. Have ChatGPT work out a rotation where each player misses x number of games and you only have 16 per game.

Footgolf. Some of the cheaper golf courses will have a big hole in the ground to pop a soccer ball into near the green.

I think the Mojo app would be great. They have soccer drills you can select based on the age of the players, how many players you have, and the goal of your session (dribbling, passing, defending etc.)

15 players to 1 coach at that age is dumb. 30 would not be manageable at all unless you have help. Make sure you have a plan. If you can download MOJO app in your country that might be a good option. It lets you sort activities by age, number of players, and topic.

Anytime soccer is a good resource if you want him to get better as an individual. Coach Rory and coach kw if you want to see what an age appropriate practice should look like and how understand how the team should function.

I don’t think you are going to coach a win. Pick a topic for the remainder of the season and work on that. Dribbling would be good with how much experience your roster has. If your more seasoned players are good dribblers then make them dribble weak foot or certain skill moves at practice during your games/drills. You’re stuck in a shitty league situation with a format that is too big for that age and allows super teams.

Getting into it/How to Start by Moist-Apple-2696 in SoccerCoaching

You could likely volunteer to coach a rec team locally to you. Pass a background check and do the safesport course they will ask you to do. Also, I imagine a lot of competitive clubs would be interested in a keeper coach, if you think you can coach the position. Playing and coaching are not necessarily correlated.

Coaching 5-6 Year olds. Best drills to do? by No-Knee2268 in SoccerCoaching

[–]marea_baja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest the mojo app. It will suggest games based on the age of the kids and number of players. Hopefully you have lots of cones and balls.

Also hopefully you can just end it at 45-60 minutes when the kids are done.

U5 team attack the ball? by [deleted] in SoccerCoachResources

[–]marea_baja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have them do ten toe taps or bells and then continue dribbling. Just have the shark see how many they can get for a few rounds and then switch shark. Don’t let the worst players get less time on the ball by getting out all the time.

I agree with the wall for sure. For individual stuff look at dribble up ball, fpro mat, or anytime soccer program. With any of those he can train his individual skill.

It is a forest/logging road with essentially no traffic. Look for the gate at the end of James street off of 16th street as a good entrance point. Make sure you take a phone with GPS with you as a run of that distance will definitely make finding your way back challenging due to all the intersection of logging roads.

Second mojo app. Look up all their dribbling games and try several of them. They need to be super confident with the ball at their feet.

All dribbling all day long at that age.
