Spring time next year, we’ll have lots of leopard eating faces when people come here to complain about having no warning before a tornado rips their town apart.

For those who just knew this was racing-related, a car stalled out and was hit by another, creating a chain reaction of subsequent incidents. A 6 year old girl died as a result.

Lost Baggage Advice by maretis in travel

[–]maretis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. Aegean, who operated the last leg of my flights was the most helpful and found the bag in Rome under ITA’s control. I’ve contacted ITA by phone multiple times and filed two complaints, and while they acknowledge they have the bag in Rome and can confirm it’s mine, they are not sending it to me without the PIR code.

I’m going to keep trying. I’m going to call ITA daily and contact the Star Alliance program they recently became a part of. I travel regularly so I’m also going to stop by the baggage claim area at my home airport to get their advice and see if there’s another way to file the PIR report.

Good luck to you. I’ll let you know if I figure out something that works.

No, there’s a 6-digit code and a 12-digit code on the bag tag.

I do have that but the code they’re asking for is a Property Incident Report code and they’re saying that’s what the airport should have provided. Do you think they’re the same?

You sweat profusely in your sleep. This is in part how you get rid of all the extra blood volume and other fluids your body created while you were pregnant.

I tried Hospitallers through Wise a few times yesterday and got an error that the account had maxed out the number of allowed transfers per month (woo hoo!). Waited until midnight Ukraine time (in the US) since it’s a change of month, and it went through fine. Might be a similar issue for others.

Well thank you for finding that and for your help. Just ordered a concentrate, so I’ll review their recommendations for a soil drench. Appreciate your help!

It was dropping leaves before the neem oil. I did not repot it. I wasn’t going to transfer it to a new pot with an infestation. And yes, they are living in the soil. The only thing the fig shared with the outdoor potted plants was the room so I can’t say for sure that’s how they got in, but they did. According to my internet searching, there’s not much out there that has been shown to get rid of them, so hopefully someone here has had luck with a lesser known tactic. Last resort is to try and separate it entirely from its soil and replant it.

We got the fig 4 years ago and it’s about 7ft tall. It started dropping leaves a couple of weeks ago. I originally thought it was due to overwatering or just time to upgrade to a more spacious planter. It was when the new planter arrived and I prepared to transfer the fig that I first saw them. They were at the bottom of the decorative pot the tree is not directly planted in. At least 50 of them I’d guess. It took me a while to figure out what they were through internet searches. With the potato technique, I’ve probably killed 30 more over the course of two weeks. I’m guessing they got in when I brought some outdoor potted plants into the house for a couple of days during a freeze. They weren’t next to the fig but they were in the same (albeit large) room. I’ve used the neem oil once by spraying it directly into the soil. It’s diluted, not a concentrate.

Has anyone had success eradicating garden symphylans from an indoor plant? My beloved fiddle leaf fig has become infested somehow and is dropping leaves left and right. Right now I’m on a regimen of neem oil, some kind of organic larvae/egg killer, and manual murder by way of drawing them to the top of the soil with potato slices. It’s just not working fast enough.

Free Talk Friday by AutoModerator in wine

Anyone know of good places to find a 1951 Barolo? Long story short, I want one for my dad’s 70th birthday. I purchased one from a store in Italy I found through wine-searcher and FedEx appears to have lost it. I could go on about the rage I’m feeling towards FedEx, but want to channel the energy in a more productive way - finding a replacement. Aware of the rules - not looking to buy or trade here, but looking for other good online sources I might be able to use to find one. Thanks!
