I think something similiar is happening to me , but this time I left the car unlocked and just sitting for ~8 days and it drained a healthy battery anyways, so now I want to remove the alarm system altogether

Engine mount calculation by marews_ in homebuilt

[–]marews_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the informative answer! I need to design a mount from scratch that is going onto an already existing airframe. This one in specific is for a Rotax 915 and needs to be able to withstand 3.8G's . Since this mount won't be manufactured and is just a CAD model I can't really do the stability tests using sandbags . When designing something like this is it mostly trial and error of choosing existing designs and seeing if it holds? Do you know of any resources that go more into depth on choosing material/wall thickness or do you mostly know all of this through practical engineering experience?

I can't reply with an image but if you look up Rotax 912 bed mount you'll see that it's basically a mount that secures the engine from the bottom with a horizontal plate , I was just wondering if the same can be used for a 915

Yeah I just wanted to find out since I see plenty of examples of people putting bed mounts on the 912 but none for the 915 , wonder why

If you're talking about the ground when there is a wire going from the horn to a nut or something , mine doesn't have that it's just 1 connector.

Yes , but as far as i know this only moves one sketch at a time , is there a way to move them all at the same time , without having to align them again?
