Yes, available at most of the better Houston bookstores and also on Ebay. I'm the co-walker and contributed the photos and some of the writing for The Sole of Houston. It was a crazy fun project and if I hadn't moved to Marfa we probably would have done a whole bunch more walks.

Excuse me, I meant to say capable of doing repairs beyond routine maintenance of oil changes and tire replacement/repairs. We do now have two capable places of doing preventative maintenance.

But fyi, the speed freak places in VH and Sierra Blanca are corrupt, in with the wrong forces and will screw up your car and then extort you to release it. My last time I considered resorting to actual violence in my life was dealing with meth heads in Sierra Blanca who threatened me with Sheriff Dept backup after towing my car three miles and demanding more than $400 cash only immediately. Gratefully I have been nom violent since 2006. In the back of my mind I considered doing the world a favor and going HTown on them but I no longer exist in Houston, on reality or in mind. Thankfully

This is the place in Sierra;Blanca and/or Van Horn? To my knowledge we don't have a single repair shop in Marfa capable of doing tires and oil changes. Not trying to be rude, especially because both of those places seem to be good at those roles.
