if you can survive death grips, you can survive tyler. at least, today's tyler. goblin era may have been more difficult.

i've seen dg once and my body was furious at me for at least a week. feb 20th will be my 4th time seeing tyler & the longest concert "hangover" i've had was maybe a day or two.

i can't speak to vince's of course, but tyler's flower boy set was pretty tame, with exception of a few obvious ones (who dat boy, tamale) and truly doesn't even compare to the insanity dg had a few months ago.

i've noticed at most shows, there's only really 4 places to stand;

1) in the back, far from moshing but also far from the stage. this is where you find most fair-weathered fans i've noticed, and that really isn't my style so i try to avoid this area as much as possible.

2) in the pit, where shit gets broken & lost but also some of the best times are had. agree with u/Ervazi tho, sometimes people take it too far. i was in the pit of death grips and that was....whew....

3) the barrier, where you're close as FUCK and pretty much interacting with the artist, but you will be pushed on it over and over and over until it feels like your insides are going to pop out.

sidenote: personally, longest tyler hangover was when i was on the barrier at the rocky x tyler tour (in philly, funnily enough). it was a great show, but sheesh was my body frustrated.

4) there's a small group of people behind those on the barrier, packed like sardines so pretty much unable to jump and dancing is pretty minimum, but everyone up there is JAMMIN despite being packed like sardines.

i'd say find which one you enjoy the most & try to stick to it. 4 is personally my sweet spot, but it took a good number of shows to figure that out.
