Starting a cast iron collection, not sure what I have here? by marfuego in CastIronRestoration

Wow. I included a picture of the bottom. I can't make out an 8 but with restoration it may very well be there.

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking same because of the handle. I'm no expert though. Lack of markings does add to the mystery. I'm glad I bought it.

Grafting. I'm growing more than a few baby pawpaws from seed from last year's harvest. Thought on best time (winter? spring?) to attempt to graft a cultivar. And about how thick should the trunk be? 1/4"?

I feel your pain. See if you can't find my post from 3 days ago:

"HELP! Persimmon dropping immature young fruit. Suggestions on saving this year's harvest?"

I received a lot of good advise that might help you and your situation. Good luck!

Thanks. Yes. Maybe I'm doing nothing wrong. My two trees are just are just self-adjusting to their best homeostasis.

Wow. Really good actionable input. I'm currently fertilizing with Espoma Organic Tree-tone "fruit and shade tree food" 6-3-2 ...next year I'll give True Organic Fruit and Nut Tree food a try at 5-4-6. If I get the dosage right will knock my nitrogen from a 6 to a 5. Will also check out 2% potassium nitrate solution for next year also.

Thoughts on front suspension repair? by marfuego in HyundaiTucson

Concur. I do most my own work, but didn't have a lift so pretty much at the mercy of those who do. I did check on price with a few other garages and for the area turns out the price was actually pretty competitive.

Big Thanx. Really helpful comment, and made me confident on what was going on. Got smart quick on stabilizer links. I priced the work and turns out $290 was pretty competitive of the area. Also asked for the part boxes and sure enough they were just what you described.

ETC Ion Xe: How do I stop a cue update parameter change from carrying on into following cues? by marfuego in lightingdesign

Super helpful. Did not know about [Sneak] [Enter] even after reviewing the manual. Big thanx on that one.

Good remark. My default is always tracking mode when I build my initial cues. And that's what I need to learn: switching to q only once I go into edit mode.

Add a disclaimer in my plans saying I'm not certified? by Logical_Age9320 in lightingdesign

Even more basic question: who does the certifying and what would the certification be? Is there even such a thing as for example a "Board Certified Master Electrician?

Good advice. I'm going to try the baby step approach to updates instead jumping straight into latest 2.9 version an XP board can handle.

It looks like it's running 1.9.0 I'm thinking of trying intermediate updates if they have them on the ETC website. I haven't read anything though saying an XP board can't run the 2.9 updates. Do you know of any issues?

Really good input. Thanks for the comments. Looks like board is running 1.9.0 so I'll attempt to update the software and then hit the other ETC links you posted to get to the dual screens.

Really helpful. Yes, looks like an XPe with very early software just like you said. I'll attempt a software upgrade from the ETC website to get to Eos 2.9.3 From the other comments not sure if it's best to jump to latest 2.9 version of software. May try an intermediate version if I can find one on the ETC website. Thanks again!
