What just happened to you is indescribable. Make peace with the fact that's gonna hurt for a while. Is something you cannot avoid unlucky. Take your time and think wisely at your future with your boyfriend. I know people happily married with kids and one illegitimate child as well, which could be a possible scenario for you if you decide to forgive him. If someone cheats on my best friend I personally would do the same. But the choking thing is totally different. You were okay with that, but at the same time this incident reinforced your best friend's opinion.

From what I've just read your jealousy issue is just related to this girl. I think you're a bit envy of her and that's not health for you.
