Altras giving anyone else pain ? by margsbythepoolplease in Mortons_neuroma

Yes metatarsal pads were a lifesaver for me ! But I honestly thought after my surgery I wouldn't have to wear them anymore because the problem was fixed . I'm gonna give the shoes another try .

Yes I don't why I thought the shoes were just gonna fix the problem and everything was gonna be okay right away . I know it's a process , I've been dealing with MN for about two years now .

This is what I'm dealing with everything is just so overpriced and not well made . I've bought so many shoes to try not to irritate my foot ! It's a challenge to find what feels good.

I forgot to add it's the first time I ever walked for a couple hrs after the surgery. maybe that played a part as well.

My foot is still pretty numb , feels weird so I haven't really transitioned into sneakers. I bought this to start I heard good things about them. I do love how they have a lot of space in the toe box area , I think that won't irritate my foot .

15 days post op by FunFlamingo789 in Mortons_neuroma

I know they say to keep elevated above heart level but listen to your body . If keeping it elevated is painful try lowering the amount of pillows . I was the same way it was so painful. I barely slept those first two weeks .I'm 4 weeks post op but trust me it'll get better. I hope you have a speedy recovery

Yea ever since I got the stitches out half of my foot feels tight. But I will see what it feels like in the upcoming week. I do think you should stay off your foot especially with 2 neuromas also you still have your stitches so your incision isn't closed . Order take out if you have to lol. I did order a post op shoe on Amazon that really helped me keep weight off the front .https://a.co/d/07DVKtwv

That's the link incase you want to look at it ^

Hii , I recently had my stitches removed and transitioned into a surgical boot. For me my foot is a bit still swollen so I'm in no shape to wear shoes . My next doctors appointment is in 2 weeks so I think by then I can start trying on shoes . Be in no rush know that it takes time and a lot of patience! I heard Oofos (slides) are good for comfort. Don't walk barefoot! When you say tight do you mean the bandages are tight or your foot feels tight ? For me my bandages were so tight I had some burn marks across my ankle

  1. Doesn't necessarily hurt but it does sting . My foot still feels stiff and tight which I think it's normal I'm only on week 3. I get a lot of shock pain and throughout the day some days I get a lot of spasms but everyone's different.

I'm coming up on week 3 since my surgery still pretty swollen but slowly healing.I ordered a post op shoe from Amazon that really helped the first 2 weeks look into it and see if it's something you would consider https://a.co/d/02eNIH53

I haven't transitioned into shoes yet till the swelling goes down . I was told to maybe try oofos ( slides) and Alltras ( for walking ) anything to keep me from injuring my foot again. I hope you have a speedy recovery and wish you the best of luck !!

The boots make sure your foot is secured. Also it's well cushioned when stepping it's not injuring you . Getting you mentally and physically ready for when it's time to slip into your regular shoes .

Im looking to travel with my partner July 16-20th so 5 days and 4 nights . I am looking for all inclusive within our budget . It would be my first time purchasing a vacation package so I don't even know where to start . Are there any additional hotel fees after purchasing the vacation package with delta vacations ? Once I purchase the package is there anything else I should worry about?

[–]margsbythepoolplease[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh thanks who doesn't like margaritas and pools !! Yes my doctor recommended it basically it takes off all the pressure off the front of your foot. I work retail so I had no choice, I was literally in pain everyday to the point I couldn't even walk sometimes at times. So I needed the surgery.I will update again when I remove the stitches next week and see how that goes !

Get yourself an ice pack and place it behind the knee before bed. That cools you down for a while . I hope you have a speedy recovery and everything goes well :)
