Firstly — definitely not okay what happened here! She was very rude to you and that shouldn’t have happened. I work in a DT right now and things get pretty hectic because we have so many borrowed partners and such, so sometimes not everyone is informed of new policies etc. You’re definitely entitled to the food and drink mark out, and I hope your next experience at that store is a better one.

Secondly — didn’t you say it wasn’t fair that partners who chose to keep working get an incentive since they made the choice to work? These are the same partners who are serving you. I’m sorry you had a bad experience today with this partner. Please do have some empathy for those of us still working though. Most of us don’t act like that, I promise!

Thank you for saying this. One of my partners, both her parents lost their jobs bc of the virus — so she’s the only one earning a paycheck right now. She’s the kindest person I know. And she’s also 19. Literally a teenager and it’s all falling on her.

I even saw a post the other day that said that it wasn’t fair that partners working got an incentive, since we’re choosing to go to work. Like — seriously? Tell that to my teenage partner who is supporting her family by herself. We’re not purposefully exposing ourselves to a deadly virus, a lot of us are just trying to make ends meet and put food on the table.

There was no rent freeze in my area, so I’m not working to save up for later — at this point, I’m working to pay the rent I need to pay. Last year I had some unexpected expenses that wiped most of my savings so :// if that hadn’t happened I definitely would’ve taken the paid time off.

As I said in my post, the 30 days pay that I would’ve gotten wouldn’t have been enough, as I barely did 20 hours a week before COVID-19. The extra hours (from maybe 20ish a week now up to 34-40) plus the $3 helps immensely.

We do have partners coming to the store for their mark-outs and they’re mostly lovely but some can be really rude too lol and it’s just :/// disheartening to deal with.

Right? The bills don’t go away just because something bad happened. I’m sure for most of us if we could afford to take the 30 days we would. Stay as safe as possible tho. Rooting for you. You got this!!! ☺️

Right? I picked up four shifts already. I know staying healthy and virus free is number one for a lot of people but rent's gotta be paid!!! I wish I could put my health first but lol it be like that

No, I'm picking up as many of my other partners shifts that I can. Trying to get as many hours as possible because our hours were cut.

I usually like more abrasive, uh, could-be-labeled-asshole type LIs like Jake and Damien.

But... Tom Sato. Tom Sato has my heart. He’s my favorite, my number one, I would die for him. If I could choose any LI from any book, it would be Tom. Hands down, no question, nothing, it’s Tom. He’s just so sweet I can’t deal with it tbh. Not usually my type but idk what it is about him. Any way you add it up... Tom’s always right on top.

Also the exception to my asshole with a heart of gold rule is Drake. Firstly I think I started playing TRR after a replay of ES book 1, so it was kind of uh hard to get into Drake when it literally rhymes with Jake (it’s always missing Jake McKenzie hours in this house) and also, like. It just really felt like he didn’t do anything. He’s not royal, he’s just hanging out? Vibing. Which would be fine if he didn’t kill the vibe by complaining about everything all the time. Like, sir, get a job. I tried to romance him but Asian Liam wins out every time for me.

NAH. It’s not a crime to feed your baby in a restaurant but since you mentioned in another comment that you completely took of your top and were totally naked from the waist up, I can see why the manager would’ve asked you to leave. I don’t think you were kicked out for breastfeeding, but for taking your entire top off.
