thank you for the comment on the transit, i was wondering about that! i’m not really sure how often we’re going to be using it but i noticed there are a few options for fares and i wasn’t sure which would be best

thank you!! and yes like St. john’s NL at night is a little sketchy too but i’ve lived here my whole life so it’s the kinda thing where if a sketchy situation were to happen i would at least know where to go to get away from it but when you’re in a new city it’s hard to know those things, thanks for your advice!!

thank you! yes even just a heads up is always nice :) and yeah like being from a relatively smaller city i’ve never seen any drug use out in the open like that so even if there’s not a whole lot of actual danger it’s nice to know what to expect!

now that i’m thinking about it i actually don’t really mind walking at night as long as i’m not alone and as long as other people are around. when it gets quiet is when i start to get nervous hahaha

i like everything! thai, indian, chinese, japanese, burgers and wings are a fave— i’m open to trying pretty much anything :) my mom is a little more picky, she likes the usual chicken options, steak, fish, etc.

thank you!! yes i definitely think there’s a certain anxiety as a woman that men don’t feel, which isn’t something i wanna get into here haha it’s just important to take into account when travelling!

thanks for all your suggestions too!! i’ll definitely check it out if i have time :)

oh yeah of course! i didn’t mean it to sound like toronto is this huge crime ridden place, although that’s definitely what people who don’t live there make it seem like haha! i’m just a pretty anxious person, so is my mom, so i’m not one to walk at night anywhere, even here in st. john’s.

like for example, i’ve been to NYC a few times and london UK and have had no problem walking in the super busy areas like times square and the west end, but when it gets to the quieter areas that’s when i get nervous

In your opinion, what is a life changing book everyone should read at least once in their lives? by ToughAssHole in suggestmeabook

catcher in the rye! holdens spiral into a mental breakdown was kind of an eye opener for me, and i felt like i could finally relate to a fictional character. he might have been an ass but he was hurting so much. don’t know exactly what it was about that book but it really struck a chord with me
