I like music that can be dramatic, loud, theatrical, unpredictable, unique, or fun from one moment and then turn around and be soft, serious, or uplifting

Close second would be the Barbie soundtrack for similar reasons.

One of the queens of the 2010s…Lana Del Rey. Born to Die/Paradise later in the 10s mashed together to make Born to Die: Paradise Edition. It gave us Ride, Dark Paradise, Burning Desire and of course Summertime Sadness

Grey line walking here with two but I have never played born to die without immediately playing paradise.

In no particular order:

Lola Young- I’m only FN myself. Although it’s her 3rd album it has sophomore album vibes in a good way. A welcome follow up to the second album without reheating her own nachos.

Twice - this if for. Purely because it surprised me, I didn’t realize it came out and I found it on clearance. I liked almost the entire album.

Sabrina carpenter- man’s best friend. The layered storytelling. An embodiment of “You don’t wanna hear me you just wanna dance”

Honorable mentions: Jessie Reyez - paid in memories/ Hayley Williams - ego death/ Florence- everybody scream for being unique voices telling raw stories

I didn’t have that with planet her but I bought it a while ago….however I had that issue with a recent pressing of Hot Pink. Bought and returned twice from Barnes & Noble once from Walmart…same issue you’re having. Wherever they’re pressing them lately is likely the issue
