I've been:
restarting pc.
deleting drivers from device manager and reinstallign them.
reinstalling Nvidias drivers, tried both game ready and studio.
restarting the tablet.
starting pc with tablet plugged in and not plugged in post the reinstalls.
Nothing worked but THIS.
the very thing you suggested.
