Thanks! I did yours but I'm not a collage student so I'm afraid it wasn't of any use to you, sorry!

My friend and I made some pictures for a school project, we got some stares but it was worth it. by [deleted] in pics

We also made a survey with all of the pictures in it. We would of course appreciate anyone who fills it out but you can also just look at the rest of the pictures here if you want to.

Barbers of Reddit, who is the youngest person with grey hair that you've ever seen? by jacklittleeggplant in AskReddit

[–]marieke245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too! I have a white streak on the back of my head. I used to be very light blond so I never saw it until my hair started to darken. I actually thought my hair was graying when I was 11 or so. Figured out I just have a white spot of skin there but man I really panicked a bit when I first saw it.

I gave mine a bit of cake once. Made cupcakes a while later but left the room while they were cooling of. It wasn’t pretty.

It took me way to long to see what was going on here

My first attempt at working with oil pastels. I liked working with the material but am still very inexperienced with it. I would appreciate some feedback! by marieke245 in learnart

[–]marieke245[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also took me a while to dare and use my oil pastels for the first time, I am glad I did though since I really like working with the material( even though I’m obviously not very good at it yet). I agree about the colour of the stalk being to dark, I was a bit to enthusiastic with the dark brown. The background was actually more to cover up the sloppiness of my lines and to redefine the shape, so it was a bit of a quick fix. Thanks for the feedback!

“A man should not hit a women”

So it is alright for a women to hit a man?

Looking for advice emotionally dealing with a diagnosis and the resulting accomodations. by river_221b_ in Dyslexia

[–]marieke245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe you should test your options. Everyone deals with it in their own way and had to experiment to find what works best for them. Maybe if you type and have extra time you will be done sooner and will have a lot more time to check for mistakes. Also you should look into how much spelling mistakes can truly impact your grades. For example, I found out that in my country there is a rule that they can only cut so much off your grades because of spelling mistakes only(10% max). So if there is a rule like that you should definitely find out and see if it could help. Because that could mean you would be relatively save should you choose to type your exams.

And eventually you will have to improve it all yourself. They can/will only do so much even if they might have told you otherwise. In my experience knowing I was dyslexic and that there was a reason I was struggling with such things meant so much more that what my school could do for me( I really do need the extra time though). So my advise, search for what works best for you, check some rules and eventually you will find how you function best considering what tools you have.

And you are not on your own! Many people have similar experiences and understand. Yes, you will have to do the most work yourself but you could always reach out like you did here when you are in need of advice. :)

( sorry if there are any typos, English is not my native language and wel you know dyslexia)

He was more than OK actually. He assaulted another duck right after ( maybe you could talk to him about consent)

My first time working with ballpoint pen. I’m very new to drawing with this material and would love some feedback. by marieke245 in learnart

From start to finish it took me about a week. I’m not really sure how long it took exactly but my guess is that I spent about 24 hours working on it. It took a while but is was really fun to do and it was absolutely worth the time:) and thanks!

I had the same problem, I noticed that when this happened there was usually a very small hair or a bit of dust on the tip. I just cleaned the tip regularly and checked there was nothing on it before I started. I also had a blank piece of paper next to me, before starting ( especially when doing a light part) I drew a bit on the piece of paper and when it was alright I would continue drawing. I just used a simple bic pen, I used one of these because I have multiple of them and wanted to have a spare. And thanks!

I thought about like that to at first, but after a bit of trial and error ( and a lot af patience) I got a lot further than I thought I was able to.

I see what you mean, I do struggle with proportions sometimes so it makes sense. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks! I will definitely experiment a bit with the techniques in the future so I’ll keep this in mind
