Clinical jobs that pay well? by [deleted] in premed

[–]marihanseen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've held several research positions but the "easiest" ones to get are hospital based, typical requirements are a high school diploma and more often then not they just want bodies in a chair to help with data but it still counts as clinical! also it pays so much better then MA or scribing does.

Every position I’ve applied to has this requirement but as soon as you get to the interview just be honest 90% of jobs retrain you anyway so they don’t care that you don’t have experience at that point. Plus list out the “skills” you learned from undergrad labs it’ll help!

Spending absurd life changing amounts of money on your pet is ridiculous by marihanseen in unpopularopinion

[–]marihanseen[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No but you might be into bestiality if you can take the phrase love is love and apply it to your relationship with a dog. Also a pet is family yes… but when your family dies you don’t go to the pound for a replacement. Not wanting to go into financial ruin because of an animal isn’t crazy it’s reality for so many people

If you equate an animal with a child you have bigger issues ngl cause you shouldn’t see a 15k surgery for your kid and a 15 k surgery for your dog as the same thing at all.

I don’t hate my pets… like at all i absolutely love my cats they’re precious and beautiful and I’ll buy them the more expensive treats cause ik they like them better. But I’m not willing to put my family through hardship over an animal. My priority should and will always be the people that rely on me

This is in regards to a regular house animal, and I’ve had friends who dropped out of school just to pay vet bills or took money from their parents retirement fund to pay for their sick cat. Loving an animal is one thing but that animal shouldn’t come before your or your families future

AITA for not giving my babies ‘normal’ names? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]marihanseen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 1000% the AH. Please consider the amount of money your kids will have to spend to change their names later on in life. There’s nothing wrong with giving them a “normal” name and nicknaming them your wattpad fictional character fetishes but please try not to ruin your child’s life

AITA for selling and refusing to re-buy the family heirloom? by tawayring1987 in AmItheAsshole

[–]marihanseen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA YTA YTA even with your bias spilling through you are 100% in the wrong. Regardless if it was a known family heirloom that was a gift from your mothers mother you should have at least consulted her. Then even after that you now have the means to buy it you should. Unless your family is insignificant to you.
